Cool Howdy

Hi ya'll, I am a newbie.
I am only 17 and already yo-yo dieting could be my middle name and I am so tired of it. Since I am about to start my senior year in High School I thought this would be the perfect time to really establish some life-long healthy habits. My weight has fluctuated between 120 and 168 in the course of 2 years and I think it was mainly because I had no idea where to go for good healthy eating advice. So while searching information on creamsicles (<3) i stumbled upon this website & blog.
I am also a baby vegetarian (about 6 months now) which has proven to be somewhat difficult since most "fast" diets center around the complete cut out of carbs and pure meat consumption....see my dilema? lol
Last week I stumbled upon the South Beach diet which alows beans and I am now starting my week 2 and already feel better.
So, I want to get down to my lowest weight again because i have reaslized that its about me feeling good and being able to wear the clothes I want to wear, this time its not about boyfriends or family or anything else so I am more determined than ever.

Hi!

Welcome and congratulations, you seem to have a great attitude and I'm sure the weight will fly off now.

Just one quick comment though, for your height, being 120lbs will give you a BMI of only 18.8 which is really really low. I'm not saying to change your goal but if your body settles at a weight a little higher than this, you might consider settling for that!

Good luck and best wishes,
Libby
