I joined yesterday but did not have time to introduce myself till now. I am 45 years old. Will be 46 next week. Decided it is well overtime to start taking care of myself. Like a lot of you I did not always have a weight issue. But in all honesty over the past 20 years it has been a problem for me. At the most I weighed about 240 lbs. Not even sure how I lost it, but I did get down to about 170 lbs. I weighed about 170 lbs. for the past 6 years. Then about 2 months ago I quit smoking and now I am already up to 195. Thinking of going back to smoking but that has it's negatives too. So I went online looking for ideas and came across this web site that looks so helpful. You all seem so supportive of each other. That is great and most beneficial to those of us who do not get that support at home. I live in New York State and I have 3 children who range in age from 8-24. I want to lose 50 lbs. but right now that seems impossible. But I will give it my best attempt. Looking forward to sharing with you.
