I am new as well. I used to live in New Port Richey Fl. on the west coast for 23 years. The wonderful advantage you have is that almost all year around you have super weather to walk, or swim in and exercise outside can be a year around activity. You are so blessed for this. Even though here in Virginia the winters are not really bad, it does limit activity outside especially for me as I am older.
This is a great site. I started a blog. You might enjoy that. Mine is "Over the hill". I also have always had weight trouble and did a lot of emotional eating. I do know its a journey and when you do this, its always easy to fall back into old behaviors even, still at my age....hang in there.. We love you!!

Welcome Paula - I've found great success through this site...I'm sure you will too - the key is to check back often and read/post a lot! You will learn so much just being here that you can't help but to drop the weight!

I'm in St. Lucie County - Fort Pierce, FL - where are you at?

Default Hey Paula!!

The most interesting thing about making a 'lifestyle' change- is honestly learning how to cook healthy tasty food! To me, food will always be my life- I take care of my son plus cook for my parents and am constantly feeding friends and other relatives... food is universal- and you'll find the more used to the recipe changes you get- the easier the food part will be for you! Best of luck!!!!!
