You certainly have a healthy approach planned out to eating better and exercising. Congrats on already having an exercise plan, btw. That is so difficult for many people to achieve.
Keeping a food journal to monitor amount and type of foods eaten is a great tool. I hope you're able to find the right combination of tools for yourself.
