Hello everyone ... obviously, I'm new here. Just want to introduce myself. My name's Lucretia and I'm from Dallas, TX. I stumbled on 3fatchicks.com browsing the web from my hotel room and decided you guys might be just the encouragement I need to finally get healthy.
So ... I'll be 30 in August and would really like to start that new phase of my life a lot healthier and at least 20 pounds lighter!

What sort of plan are you thinking you'd like to follow? We likely have a forum for it, so do look around.
This is a great place to get support, so find a spot, settle in, and get going. You might want to check out our "Featherweights" group, for those with less to lose than others.
Thanks mandalinn82 for the welcome! I've tried WW, South Beach, tracking calories, personal trainers, etc. and have had minimal success with all of them. I loved the personal trainer because I packed on great muscle ... but the fat never melted away so I ended up bigger instead of smaller somehow
Basically, I think I just need to quit making excuses but I guess that's easier said than done ...
