Through some divine guidance or great luck I found this fantastic site. I've been overweight since I was 8 or 9 years old. Most kids had Twinkies and Hostess Cupcakes once in a while, but I found them in my lunch box nearly everyday. I kept things under control for the most part during high school, dated, went to my proms, etc. I think I even wore a bikini one summer, but for the most part it's been a life-long struggle.
Now that I'm in my early 50's and post-surgical menopause, it's gotten so hard. Although my weight hasn't changed too much in the past 3 years since my hysterectomy, my entire body is different. I have rolls and soft-pudgy flesh that was never there before. I have a DH of 26 years and 3 DDs and I want to be fit and healthy to enjoy life with them.
I look forward to learning much from this site and from all of you.
Thanks, Donna
