Hi everyone - I'm Donna

  • Through some divine guidance or great luck I found this fantastic site. I've been overweight since I was 8 or 9 years old. Most kids had Twinkies and Hostess Cupcakes once in a while, but I found them in my lunch box nearly everyday. I kept things under control for the most part during high school, dated, went to my proms, etc. I think I even wore a bikini one summer, but for the most part it's been a life-long struggle.

Now that I'm in my early 50's and post-surgical menopause, it's gotten so hard. Although my weight hasn't changed too much in the past 3 years since my hysterectomy, my entire body is different. I have rolls and soft-pudgy flesh that was never there before. I have a DH of 26 years and 3 DDs and I want to be fit and healthy to enjoy life with them.

I look forward to learning much from this site and from all of you.

    Thanks, Donna
  • Hi DONNA . . . . . . You have definitely come to the right place for lots of support and friendship as you travel down that long and often bumpy road to better health and fitness.

Oh my yes, I know all too well that losing definitely does not get easier or faster as we reach that "certain age" -- hope you'll come over and join us on the Age 50+Forum when you have a chance. We'd love to get to know you.

Anyway, you have a great evening and take a good look around this very big and interesting site. Hope to see you again really soon. . .
