I've never joined any type of online community, so I really have no idea what this is all about. But I'd love to find other women who are fighting the same battle I am.
I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Cassie; I'm 24 years old and live just outside Chicago. I have never been thin, so this has been a lifelong battle for me. I'm doing it though. I'm eating well (on a 1600 calorie diet, thanks to my dietician), and exercising almost every day - I'm even training to run the Chicago Half Marathon!
But, I could still use some moral support, some friendly conversation. And I'd certainly love to offer the same to anyone!
I'm 24, and also never been thin, but we're both well on our way! Have a look around you'll find a ton of like-minded people. Check out the 20-something's, and Calorie Counters area for starters, but don't hesitate to post wherever you're comfortable! See you around!
Welcome! Back when I was thin I thought I was fat, and by the time I managed to shed my awful attitudes about food, I'd become fat for real. We're all in this together!
Hello Cassie!
I'm also new...although I am not really new in online community thing. I just joined couple hours ago and I'm still busy reading stuff, as there are soooo many to read. Success stories are specially very encouraging..as I really set my mind on diet this time.
I'm 27 years old from Michigan. Single mom, full time work, full time student, and now full time weight loss too. =)
Hello! I've just joined too. I'm 22 in the UK. A few years ago I lost 4 1/2 stone in 9 months due to my wedding (all the running about & stress!) but have put it all back on and more. Argh it's frustrating, so I look forward to making friends with other people in teh same situation :-)
