I just joined the site a few days ago but haven't had a chance to post until now. It sounds like a great place to come to keep the motivation rolling! A couple years ago I lost abt 20 lbs on Adkins,then "suddenly and without warning" (LOL) I gained 19 back. In Feb-March I did Atkins again for about 5 wks to shock the sugar out of my system. But now I've re-vamped it and I'm just eating healthy. I aim for about 1200 kcal/qd with no white stuff (sugar, flour, etc), no chemically altered foods, nothing hydrogenated, no sugar subs, and I try to stay away from foods that are labeled "low fat", since they usually are loaded with carbs and they are most often chemically altered. The less ingredients the better, at least for me. I've been trying to drink at least 64 oz of water a day and find that it's not nearly as hard as it was in the past.
So, that's my plan, and I look forward to getting to get to know you! It sounds like a fun bunch! I just hope I can figure out how to navigate!
