Hi, my name is Jamie and I am hoping that joining a forum about weight loss will help me. I have joined forums in the past for support and they have helped. I am from the United States but my family and I are currently stationed in South Korea and will return to the states in Nov. 2008. I am going to start WW on my own tomorrow so I'm also hoping that I'll be able to get the support and encouragement here that I would get at the WW meetings.

Am I able to put a weight loss ticker on here yet or do I have to wait a bit longer?

Well, I'm happy to be here and I wish all of us the best of luck!

Hi there JAMIE and

You've definitely come to the right place for lots of support and friendship as you travel the long winding road to better health and fitness, Chickie. Have a good look around; it's a very big place; but everybody is extremely friendly.

Unfortunately you have to be a member for 30 days and make at least 30 posts before you can activate a ticker -- we've had some problems with people only signing up so they can post self-serving links in their signatures in the past -- so take a look around and get posting and the time will just fly by.

See you soon . . .

Jamie, welcome!

If you look under the "Diet Cental" heading on the main forum page, you'll see there's a Weight Watchers forum. You might like to check that out, for WW specific support. Also check out the Exercise forum under the heading "Fitness", to find some types of exercise you like and to get support in that area. Of course, take a look around and post where ever you feel comfortable, but those might give you a start.
