I'll quit lurking now
...and start participating. I just re-joined WW yesterday after a 9 year hiatus. I didn't join WW this time with quite the enthusiasm I had back then, but your community here is so wonderfully supportive!
I'm a 37-year-old commuter from the greater Washington DC area. Commuting doesn't pay well (er, it doesn't pay anything actually), so I got a full-time job to pay for my commuting habit. And I'm not a TV mom, but I play one at home to a precocious 4-year-old boy.
I lost nearly 50 lbs. on WW before my wedding in 1999 which should have been wonderful except that I lost a little too much and landed up with a beautiful dress that was too big (good thing I can sew pretty quickly, eh?). But like so many others, I quit and gained it all back and then some.
I'm going on an annual girls' night out next month, and one of our regular events is to sing "Baby Got Back" at the top of our lungs. I have a special goal to lose enough to not be qualified to sing it at next year's event.
My current "back" is big enough to notice from the front. I have enough "junk in my trunk" to start a thrift store for wayward waifs. If I get any "fluffier", I'm gonna float off. OMG - I'm so thankful you guys are here!
