Hello! My name is Dawn, and I'm looking to lose a few pounds. Okay, maybe more than a few.

I used to get by telling myself that I was carrying the weight okay, but lately it's just not been cutting it. I'm tired of being out of breath from the shortest walks, and tired of scrounging by with the same three outfits that are tolerable for work. I have a gym membership and the wherewithal to make the necessary lifestyle changes, I just lack the support network I need to get the ball rolling.
I have bad knees from a school/work injury, and three surgeries later, I can't do anything high impact, no running, jogging, jumping, etc. With the support I see here, I really am beginning to think that this is possible!
