Hi everyone. I'm 46 and perimenopausal! A real wench. I have gained 30 lbs this past year and I'm looking to just take 20 off. Doc put me on Metformin and I do see a difference, at least with the sugar cravings.

Hey Kelly -

You may want to check out a couple of places...first, the Dieting with Obstacles area may be a good fit for you, if you are on Metformin for a medical issue like PCOS...or the Dieting with Diabetes forum, if you're on Met for diabetes.

You might also join the 40-somethings chat...weekly chat and accountability for those in your age group.

Otherwise, just settle in, find a spot, and keep posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!

Thank you, ladies. The perimenopausal symptoms seem to be the biggest kick in the butt for me. IT's just been the last couple years that I haven't been able to sleep and such.
