Default Hi

Hi everyone my name is rowena, i'm new to this site. Anyway i've so far lost 20 kg since october new year. Another new thing i started back is swimming. All those years of putting it off because of my weight and not wanting to wear togs. I finally gave in as i used to love swimming and my poor kids were missing out on all the fun because of me. So i'm glad i'm swimming again, its so much fun.

Anyway i've been doing really well for the past 19 weeks? with my healthy eating and heaps of exersise but 4 weeks ago i hit the hard part of losing and all my bad eating habbits are slowly coming back, although i'm still slowly losing, i expect a gain this week which is frustrating because i feel like im ruining all my hard effort to lose the 20kg as everyday i'm finding it harder and harder. I realise we all go through this stage but i need to do something about gettting back on track quick!

Everyone on this site has done so well. Does anyone have some advice on getting back on track please? thanx

Hi Rowena, welcome to 3FC! As far as getting back on track, do it NOW, don't wait for the next meal or the next snack. You've come so far. Many people don't lose as much as you have, and many that do let it slip through their fingers and gain it back. You're going to be doing this for the rest of your life - your new way of eating. Please find a group here to join and get support that you need to help you through this on a daily basis. It's not easy, but we're all in it together and many people are here to help with the struggle.

However, I'm looking at your weight. You've lost over 20kg (40-45 pounds) since October. I don't know when in October - first or last, but maybe you're cutting back too much and losing too quickly for you to stay satisfied? If you feel like you are depriving yourself, maybe you should back up just a little and go with that slower weight loss, at least for a while. Just a suggestion.

Don't give up - you are doing fabulously!

Hey Rowena -

I agree with everything Jennifer said...definitely don't give up, first of all. Decide to do tihs for life.

What are you eating? What sort of plan are you following?

It may be you need some tweaks to keep you satisfied, and we are GREAT at finding tweaks here. You may want to start a thread in Weight Loss Support, telling folks that you are having trouble staying on track and that you'd like suggestions on how to tweak your plan to make things a little easier on you. You'll get lots of ideas from all kinds of posters.

Can't wait to hear more from you - settle in, post more, and get back on your way.

Hi Again
Great advice above. I'm not sure if you saw the replies to your other post (it was hidden on a different page... so difficult to find ^^) but here's the link so you can check out other people's replies:
