I like to eat mostly healthy foods but chocolate and sweets are my downfall.

I have been going to the gym two to three times a week doing weights and walking on the treadmill.

Good work on the exercise!

I'm going to admit that I'm a diehard calorie counter then I'm going to say ... when I first started using the free online calorie calculator fitday.com, I was amazed how even moderate bits of sweets and fats blew my numbers all out of whack. I became much more aware of the nutritional quality of foods.
You don't really need to count calories, there's lots of other ways to lose weight but it might help you fiddle with your foods to make them even more beneficial.

Here's some links you might enjoy

Just let us know if you're looking for anything specific OK?

Thanks. This is all new to me and I don't know what you mean about diving around the board and I notice people have heights and other stats on there messages. Am I missing something? Are there any quick start instructions that I missed?

You have have a look at the instructions here http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=40

Everything I've learned, I kinda guessed and found my way ....

You can just look at the main forum board ... like when you click on 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community at the top of this page. Read and click on any thread you think looks interesting.

You can click on 'new posts' in the purple bar at the top and see all the threads that have been active since you were here last.

You can find someone you like and click on their name in the box to the left of their post. You be able to get at all their posts.

As for stats ... you can get to your 'user cp' in the purple bar at the top of the page and edit your profile. Once you've been here for a while, you'll be able to add a signature and weight or exercise tracker.

So far you're doing just fine. Ask away!
