Ah, so here I am. I've been very overweight for most of my life and I think it is time for it to stop. My boyfriend and I are both going to try to lose a significant amount of weight. It's nice to have that support, but he lives an hour away so he's not always there to keep me in line. I need to lose at least 130 pounds. I am 282 pounds right now, and I am 5'3"... my goal weight should be around 135ish, but I think 150 would be a good place, I remember that place and I liked it.
My problem is I have way too much of a love affair with food. And enough emotional problems to help me overeat constantly. I am willing to exercise, but at this time I don't know if I can handle 60-90 minutes per day. I am a full time student and I don't really have the energy for that (part of the whole being severely overweight thing). So I do have a question... is it ok to start slower? I think I can manage 20 mins a day... is that going to even be worth it? Then hopefully I can move up to more.
My first goal is to lose 10 pounds by midterms (7-8 weeks). Who knows if I'll make it, but I am sure trying is better than not. Any advice would be great!
