Me too. I was thin before I had kids. Around 133-135ish. Gained a ton with #1, and was around 181 when I got pg with #2, two years later.
They are both now 3 and 5 and I weigh in at 221.
Heavier than when I was pregant with them, and I was only 7 mos each time, never made it to those last weeks.

Me too and I'm having a really hard time losing this weight. I'm counting calories and have been stuck here for several weeks. Can't seem to get below 178. I really wanted to be to 175 by my 30th birthday on Friday. Guess it won't happen. I feel like I've been working so hard, but it's just sticking on. And then these thin, thin girls who lost all their baby weight and are size 2 again already are giving me advice! Ugh. Kind of depressed right now, if it's not obvious. Sigh.

I maintained a nice weight while I was pregnant, however it was after I stopped breast feeding that I gained 20lbs in a year.

Good luck to all of us "baby weight" losers!

With my first daughter I gained 8lbs she weighed 7lbs 15 oz's. I then lost 65 lbs and gained back about 75-80. I have a set of three year old twins and I gained 55 lbs with them I yo-yo'd after they were born. I now have a 12 week old son and I am currently 6 lbs under my starting weight hoping to never be this heavy again. The only thing is my stomach is so stretced out from having almost 14lbs worth of baby with the twins and then a 9lb 5 oz boy. I know I am going to need a tummy tuck once this weight is gone.

Thank you everyone for posting! It really is easier with people who understand and support you! I didn't actually gain that much when pregnant - only about 20lbs. BUT, I gained LOTS of weight while breast feeding. And never lost it between the pregnancies.
My plans to lose weight:
I have started addressing what I eat - I have found out it really isn't 'what' I eat (I eat extremely healthy) it is 'how much' I eat. I am eating 3-4 portions instead of 1.
I have started running again. I used to be an avid runner. (OMG I am out of shape!!)
I will start swimming in the new year.
As soon as the snow is gone I will hope to be biking also.

Welcome!

I'd like to blame it on my kids, but I was fat before them.

Thumbs up I'm new and ready to go!

Hello everyone,
My name is Sarah. I'm 33 yo and a mother of 2 beautiful children. My dau. Ella is 2 and my son Luke is 4 months. I absolutely love being a mom but not the extra weight I gained with both children . I am at my wits end. I don't know where else to turn. My eating is out of control. I have tried over and over to lose weight but I don't stick with it. I feel like my will power is zero. I came across this website and thought why not give it a try and receive encouragement from other great people who probably understand my struggles. I feel so fat. I can't wear 80% of the clothes in my closet and when I look at old pictures I want to cry! Tomorrow is Monday morning. How many times have I said, "I'm going to start on Monday" but I hope Nov. 19, 2007 is truely the beginning of the end. I look forward to this journey with all of you.
Sarah

My weight isn't strictly from my kids but I know my weight has gone up since I had them!

Sarah--I hope you did find your new start yesterday! Getting started is the tough part for me, too, and sometimes I just have to make 1 good decision to get it going. I wish you the best here--it's pretty busy and I am still working my way around!
