Hi all,

I am new to the site and it look really great. The success stories are so inspiring. I have about 50kgs to lose so I have a long journey ahead of me but I am determined and am looking for other people trying to make positive changes and lead a healthier life.

50 kgs may sound alot, but if you put your mind and soul to it, and its what you REALLY want then you can do it! I mean if i had £1 (or $1 etc etc) for every time ive gone on a diet and failed i would be a millionaire by now! But when i had a night out and i put on a top that i used to wear all the time, and it didnt fit me i was devistated!!! We are all here for each other, so if you have a bad day, start again the day after!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Welcome! There are lots of great places to post for support! Join in anywhere you would like. There is the 100 lb club for people who need to lose more than 100 lbs, there is an australian thread, threads for people following certain diets, etc, etc. Look around and make yourself at home anywhere you'd like.

Also, I know it seems like a long journey, but really, time goes by whether we are trying to lose weight or not. If we don't try, we'll be in the same place we're in now. Keep up that determination, You can do this!

Hello, from New Zealand, and welcome, 50 k does sound like a lot, but if you can break that up into 5kg goals it seem to disappear faster. I have often thought about changing mine into lbs, , thinking in my tiny little mind that it would go faster.
Tell us more, what sort of programme are you doing? exercise etc?
Don't mind me sometimes I can be really nosey!

Hi All,

Thank you so much for your support! This is a great welcome. MaryL I understand what you mean about breaking it up into smaller goals or puttin it in pouds, (lol). I have also done every diet going and spent a fortune along the way so now I am do the "Just do it" diet . Just making myself exercise everyday and just making myself eat properly every day diet. In my first week I lost 3.5kg and I will weigh again tomorrow.

I am hoping this forum will help round out what we all need which is support.
