I'm New Here and Love it!

  • Hi - I'm new here and love what I see. I have been able to spend a little time gaining motivation by reading a few posts. What a great tool. I have been overweight my entire life, playing the yo-yo game - but mostly always at the up point. I will be 50 in December and have always been very healthy. My body is starting to say NO - farely loudly - to carrying around all this excess weight. I have the most supportive husband in the world. So what's the problem getting it done????? I started on September 4 my new resolve to get healthier. I feel so much better already with just 11 lbs lost. I weigh myself every day, if I don't I give myself too much license. I'd like to start exercising - I am pretty sedentary - I'd like some suggestions of DVDs - has anyone used the PUSH subscription service?

Thanks to all of you for your support.
  • Hi!

We're glad you joined I've used PUSH and enjoyed it! We have a pretty enthusiastic exercise forum that might be of help. A lot of our maintainers are around your age and exercise regularly, so apparently it works

    Good luck!
  • Hey gggirls!

Glad to "see" you here! There is just a ton of information on 3FC and lots of like-minded people on the forums.

    Cheers!

  • Hi, Things really start catching up with us around this time, don't they? If there are any health issure they start rearing their ugly heads and the excess weight start to make its's self know through achey joints. No time like the present to take things in hand.

If you have a local library you might want to look there for exercise tapes untill you find some that you like. Everyone like different things and it's a shame to spend the money on one, only to find out that you don't enjoy it. If they (the library) doesn't have something you want to try, ask them to order it for you. They are very helpful.

    Good luck.

    Good Luck
