A big midwestern "Howdy!". I've lurked a few times and decided to register and join in when I can.
I started this current journey last October and had lost 30 LBs. Like many, I sort of stalled out and saw my motivation slide ever downward. Right now I seem to be hovering around the low 260's. So, here I am looking for new ways to get engaged and re-dedicated to my health.
I've been using some old Weight Watcher's stuff I had and rather than join yet again and pay more money, I am following the first 123 Points information. A lot of changes have stuck and I am exercising regularly despite my lax approach to the food part. I told myself when I began that this was it, that every time I slide sideways or fall off program all together, I'm just going to go at it again.
I've also realized that I really need some support from others in the same or similar situation. I don't care to go to meetings these days- time is always pressing, but I know the community is going to help.
Hope to chat with you all more as time goes forward.
HI! I'm in KCMO also! I've been debating whether or not to try weight watchers, but hate to think of spending all the money! I have materials from another program I'm going to use for the time being. And hope to find support here on the boards. I figure I'll give myself about a month to get things together and if I haven't made some progress, I'll go and see what weight watchers is all about. Good luck to you!
Hey from KCK! I joined WW back in April, paid for the monthly pass for 2 months but only attended one meeting. I guess I wasn't ready yet. Now I am counting calories. And I use Fit Day religiously.
I went to KCMO this summer for a christian teen girls confrence called blume. I really liked the city! It's not like most big cities where every building looks the same, it has a lot of character.
Much Good Luck and for you on your weight loss journey!
Hey! My name is Eleni. Nickname is Laney.. I'm 23 and I'm from NJ. I just started working out today (joined Lucille Roberts gym). I hope I reach my goal within a reasonable amount of time!
Well yes, round is a shape and I have it too. The shape runs in the family. I remember once, as a child, telling my mom (who had great looking legs, but gained weight around the middle) that she "looked like an egg with legs". Cruel, cruel child.
I have more the shape of a lady snowman (NOT my mom's legs).
