Default Hello from Newbie

Hi everyone. New to this site and hoping to connect with others to share our journey.

I am married, and have two grown daughters, and twin granddaughters. We are empty nesters and I mean empty. I just recently lost my beautiful dog, Lady, of 15 years. The house is not the same.

I am 50+ and weight has been creeping up. Need to find another outlet other than FOOD!! Looking for a lot of support and motivation.

I like scrapbooking, started digital scrapbooking, hope to take a photography class soon and go back to my quilting. I work F/T as a Practice Admin for a Medical Clinic, so a lot of temptation at work with food. I use to belong to a gym, but broke my foot and have not really been exercising.

Anyway, glad to be here.

Hi, Sorry to hear about you losing your doggie. We are animal loves too, and know how much it hurts to lose one that you love.

I am married too, and have 1 son and 2 granchildren. I cannot even imagine twins! OMG, what a blessing, and what a lot of work.

If you would like to be e-mai buddies let me know. I have 15-20 lb. to lose. I am a nurse at a local hopital and know how it is to go to work every day and some kind of goodie is there looking you in the face! I have learned to take one piece of the best. If it's just ho-hum I don't bother to eat it. It's not worth the calories. I think if you do that you will find most things are just "ok".
