Default Newb from Colorado!!

Hello everyone! Love this site-nice community!

So, where do I begin? I've got to regain some motivation and I think this is a great place to amp-up!

Stats: 5'10", currently 190lbs this morning (a 20-lb gain from last year) and pretty active. I mountain bike, go to the gym up to 4 times per week and sometimes 5 if I'm not busy. I do have a pretty good eating plan, but need to clamp down (as I'm a member of Metabolic Research Center, but a carb-o-holic) and get more serious. Seems like I let all of my life stresses get in the way and take care of myself last... and I don't even have kids--just the furry kind! (2 Golden's)

I'm married to a wonderful man. However, he doesn't understand fully my weaknesses: like the cookies he eats, carbs in general, etc. It's easy to say, "One won't hurt". But it does/can cuz we all know it will lead to more.

My goals are to eat clean, plan/prepare my meals and workouts ahead (again ), make sure I get my rear in gear and get moving everyday, drink at least a gallon of water each day (it's easy since I live at 5,000 ft), and start to put myself and my health first. I honestly think a positive mind can improve my over-all health! I'm going to take it one week at a time with my planning.

Today is my true Independence Day! I begin anew...

Hi!
I say your on your way to leading a good healthly life style. I believe the most important thing is how we speak to ourselves. Having a positive mind set does wonders on our outlook, because we don't focus on the negative. Which happens to bring us down and uninspired.
You got the physical exercise part down, now just incorporate a new way of eating and your all set to lose big time!
What a Champ you are!
