Default New Here and need a lightbulb moment

Hello All, I'm new here and would love to get a little help to have a lighbulb moment to get back on track. I've lost 2.5 stones but am sticking badly.

I go to slimming world, which is great and I'm training for the great north run in September .

My problem is, as soon as I set a target I go hay wire. I am having a breast reduction in August and I've been told to lose about a stone. yep, you've guessed, I've went haywire. I now have 3 weeks before I see my consultant so need help.

I'm sorry if this is long, I am more than happy to help anyone I can, but would appreciate any help I can get in the meantime.

Thank you for reading this.

Dunno if this might help but ... I need to remember that I just have to do well MOST of the time.

Thank you, that is really good advice. I think I sometimes give myself a hard time over silly things.

Thank you

Hi Trixybell - welcome to a fellow Brit. I've been, frankly, piddling around since January waiting for my "lightbulb" moment. I've had the odd glow but that's about it However, from reading here and stopping beating myself up every time I mess up I have lost a stone this year. It's not exactly startling progress but it's better than nothing. Read and post. Don't forget how far you've come already.

Thank you so much for your post. I think that's all I need, a little bit of help on a day to day basis. I go to slimming world and my leader is fab, but I don't like to burdon her with things sometimes, but reading other people's posts really do help.

I'm back at the gym tomorrow too, so looking forward to getting back into it. (I've been poorly for the last 3 weeks so haven't been to the gym much).

Check out the UK Fat Chicks forum (it's the next one down on the list from this introductions forum). There's daily chat and there's a slimming world thread there too I think.
