I moved from the UK to Kansas City about 7 years ago, and am now 30lbs heavier and FED UP! No idea WHAT diet to try...I have no time to measure and count. My job involves sitting for hours and hours on end. ( (I'm an author.)
Welcome! I'm in the same boat - I'm a secretary, so I'm sitting down all day too. I find it's important for me to get up and walk a little bit or do some stretching every 30 minutes or so. It's good to keep the blood flowing and it keeps you in an active state of mind. Also, I hate counting calories, so I try to focus more on making postive choices (fresh fruit over canned, wheat bread over white) and eating a balanced diet - which is more sustainable in the long run.
