You only have to get punched in the face a few times to realize speed is everything... so is good, tight headgear!

I was very overweight right after college (burgers, pizza and beer - oh my) and started training in self-defense when I first started teaching. That led to finding a boxing coach and a few matches here and there. Its the best exercise int he world, becuase it works your mind, body and spirit. It does for me, anyway. I am too hyper for yoga, spinning, or boring treadmills.
