Default Hi all! Newbie here!

Hi! I'm Nicole and I'm new here. I've seen this site around and finally decided to join. I'm lucky that I have lots of supportive people in my everyday life, but as I'm an avid internet-dweller I figured I'd like to have some e-friends that I could pay back with support.

I'll be 22 next month and am graduating from college two weeks from today (WHOA!) with a BS in Chemistry. I've always been QUITE overweight, but the stress of college had me out of control. When I hit 250 lbs I decided to join LA Weight Loss. I'm nearing the end of my 8th week and have lost 21 lbs so far. Only 79 more to go! I'm very happy with how I've been doing.

There's my boring story. I'm looking forward to meeting some new friends!

Nicole

Default Wow!

Nicole, congratulations on completing your B.S., and in Chem., no less. The world will be yours! Seriously, so few people are getting science degrees, and still fewer women..good for you.

I graduated 30 (yikes!) years ago with a B.S. and it was much easier than getting control of my weight....finally, finally, I got control, but, man, if you can get control now...it will just be so cool...don't stop searching for answers...you are used to the scientific method, so keep searching....there are many women here who found their own solution...so keep at it. Good luck!

Mary

Welcome Nicole and congratulations of both your weight loss so far and your BS. I bet you are pleased to be graduating, any type of study is a long haul.

This is a good site for support, I hope you find what you need.

Good luck,
Jennylee

Thanks so much guys! I AM really pleased; both about graduating and getting much healthier. Everything just seems better and happier and when you know you are taking care of yourself. Wow, that's sounds cheesy, but it's true!
