Hi from Ohio...... new to the community....

  • Good Morning.......
    Just joined the community so I wanted to go ahead and say hello......
    My names Jacki.... Im a stay at home mom to 5 great kiddos..... ages 8, 6, 4, 2 and 5 months..... Married to my best friend and high school sweetie!

    Ive been battling my weight since I had my first child eight years ago..... When I got pregnant with my daughter I weighed about 125lbs I now weigh 230........ After I had my son 5 months ago when I left the hospital I weighed 280lbs Im finally down to what I weighed before I got pregnant with him but really want to keep loosing.... Not only for my health but because I want to be able to have the energy to run around and play with my kids.

    Ive tried a million diets and I usually get discouraged and quit but Ive been working really hard trying to watch my portion size, eat better foods and exercise on a regular basis with that I hope that by becoming a member here it will help keep me motivated to reach my goal!

    So theres a little about me....

  • Welcome!You have the right idea, it does take time so be patient.I, also have been on many, many diets and have gone back to calorie counting,a fairly easy program to follow, I plan all my meals the night before, takes about five minutes,I do not knock other diets, you should do what works best for you.Have you cliced on Diets on 3fc website, they have reviews on many diets.Good luck.

    I am fairly new here too but it seems to be a great site/forum. Very friendly too!

    I'm a stay at home mum too, I only have two though - DD1 aged 3 and a half, and DD2 aged 21 months. Pretty much like you I have struggled with my weight since having my first, I was a little overweight before that but the weight sure did pile on with my pregnancies and didn't seem to shift again afterwards!

    Well done for losing what you have so far! Its hard work and I can imagine with 5 kids its kind of hard to get time for you to do things just for you - I know thats the case here just with my 2.

    My reasons are pretty much the same as you too - I want to be able to run around with my kids - I am terrified to take them to the park on my own at the moment cause I can't keep up with them!

    Anyway just wanted to say hi and look forward to getting to know you and reading about your successes along the way!

    I think my biggest struggle is trying to find time to exercise with all my kids....LOL Ive started doing the walk away the pounds DVD in the mornings before everyone gets up, and then again in the evening after I get them all to bed~ if Im not too tired

  • hi niki,you have a large family also,i have 4 kiddies and have been with hubby since 17 years old and he 18.Mine are older than yours at 16,14,10 and 5,Im at the attitude and hormonal and grunt stage with 2 of mine,anyway here goes to us loosing those pounds and becoming SEXY YUMMY MAMMAS.
