Smile Intro

Hi everyone,

I just joined and thought I should introduce myself before I jump in

My name is Elisa, I'm 30 years old and I need to lose 60 pounds. My story in a pinch: always been curvy but not fat, then lost huge amount of weight due to a stressful job before getting pregnant with #1 and gaining 60 pounds... Had only 26 pounds to lose by the time baby was 3 months old - breastfed baby for 6 months, then yo-yo dieted my way up to almost 60 pounds overweight. The after years of dieting some more and going vegetarian I finally found a nutritionist who helped me put my metb back together, so to speak. And then I was lucky enought o find the fat Flush Plan, which worked wonderfully for me and took me to just 17 lbs away from my goal weight

But my beloved MIL, a cancer survivor, was diagnosed with cancer again and there started my emotional eating/weight gain again After she passed, I was a bit lost but determined to get healthy again. Then a few months later I got pregnant with #2. Only gained 16 pounds with her but I was already overweight. Then when #2 was 6 months old we moved overseas and I gained weight again, due to eating out a lot (apartment to furnish ), lack of sleep and, well, let's be honest... boredom and also feeling a tad lonely.

So now I'm ready to get back on track, but the FFP isn't working for me, I need something that doesn't require that much planning right now because to be honest I simply don't have the time. Plus I'm doing really poorly on the cranberry juice and some of the supplements this time, I think it's because my body is really out of whack and I need to take it a bit slower.

Anyway, so I'm here now, fat and a bit neurotic. Anyone want to buddy up? LOL

Hi!

Welcome to 3FC.

I've found these boards to be an amazing place for support and help on this journey to being a healthier me. Hopefully, you'll find the same!

Sounds like you've had a lot of stuff go on in your life, events and emotions. But good for you for making the choice to change.

Do you have any kind of plan in mind? Since you don't want to do the fat flush plan. There are a lot of options! I'm sure everyone here will have some advice as to which plan to follow. I myself am doing intuitive eating, trying to stick to mostly whole foods too.

WELCOME! Explore and enjoy!

Hey, Welcome!

Check out "Diet Central"--there are forums there for different food plans. Also, 3FC has lots of information on different plans one can try.

Good for you for trying again! Hope to see you more!

Thank you for the welcome

I do best on a moderate carb intake, but I don't do well on very low carb diets nor on high carb/low fat diets. I need my veggies and my protein but I do best if I go light on the grains and dairy.

I also would like to do something effective enough that will jumpstart my weight loss while keeping me satisfied, otherwise I get frustrated and start yo-yo dieting again (I have a tendency to do that and jump from one plan to the next ).

I'll look around Until then I'll try to be good and eat my lean protein and veggies... it will be easier now that all the Easter chocolate is gone

Welcome! This place is such a great support group and I don't know what I would do without my "team of motivators" here
