Hi everyone!
Just wanted to post a brief introduction....I am Courtney, a work-at-home-mom to two daughters (Taylor is 21 months and Chloe is 6 weeks). I've been given the official go-ahead from the OB to start working off this baby weight (well, and the baby weight from Taylor that I never got off...) I have been doing the South Beach diet for two weeks (a modified Phase One) and lost 10 pounds, and have added in exercise this week (and moved into SB Phase Two) now that I have been cleared to do so. I've got a couple of the Firm DVDs, and will be adding in two mile, hilly walks with my husband (so I only have to push ONE child in a stroller instead of two!) and am looking into purchasing the Turbo Jam DVDs I've heard such good things about.
My husband is in the Navy and we live in Honolulu, Hawaii, which I have to say has been my most favorite place we've been stationed. We've previously lived in California, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and both grew up in South Florida.
I am a work-at-home-mom (I own an online travel agency, and am also finishing up training for medical transcription for those slow periods when nobody wants to book travel!), and my husband has an awkward work schedule (two 12-hour day shifts in a row, then one day off, then two 12-hour night shifts in a row, followed by 72 hours off), so fitting in workouts between the kids, my work, and his schedule, is a challenge sometimes (I am the crazy neighbor who is doing a The Firm tape at midnight!), but I'm sick of not fitting into clothes that I easily slipped into two years ago, pre-children.
I think that's a long-winded enough intro for now! Looking forward to joining in with everyone!
