I've been trying to go back to starving for a year now. I hung around people with eating disorder as a motivation. But it's not worth it. For being skinny the rest of your life, you need to lose weight the healthy way. And you can always get support here. If you'd like to talk, you can always PM (private message me).

I also have aim and email.

I'm sure I have an eating disorder of some sort...but as long as we strive to change our mindsets for the good we'll be fine.

Hi City,
Like you I adore Chinese food. While it's not as good as take out, investigate some of the frozen bags of complete meals that you stir fry at home with no oils. They are pretty good and there are some very low fat ones available. I cook those when I really need a taste treat.
I've been coming here about 2 weeks and feel very welcome and comfortable. Come back often and talk!

gamerchick - eating disorders come in all shapes and sizes. i just posted in the support forum with more about this.

lookingforhope - thanks for the welcome and suggestion! i'll definately look into it. we some chicken stir fry in the freezer, but we have to cook the whole bag and we don't have a skillet big enough. besides, that's a lot of food and would lead me to binge.

Hi, guys. I'm new too. I'm two-weeks in, starting my third with Body for Life. Working with the weights helps me feel strong and less prone to eating garbage food. Everyone here has been really nice and supportive. This has been a great help the past couple weeks and I look forward to having everyone in my corner!

Hello to all the new people who have posted on this thread. I am relatively new too and I have enjoyed reading about other people's journeys and getting inspired to keep going.

City, something that you mentioned about your boyfriend was interesting. You didn't sound very comfortable with his comment about you gaining weight. Do you have any other support systems nearby that would be able to help you right now? The fact that you have a history of an eating disorder may mean that you need more support than just an online community can provide. Phoenix is a large area and I would bet there are some groups of people who have dealt with your issues that meet regularly. It's important to recognize that both the messages we tell ourselves, as well as the messages that we hear frequently from those in our lives, do have a huge impact on our actions. As much as possible, we have to surround ourselves with people who believe in us and are on our side. Maybe I'm reading more into it than you intended, if so I apologize for butting in.

Good Luck!

If you need some help with the board ... just ask. Heck you can ask for help with other things too.
