Cool Hoping this works

I have been overweight my whole life and still very active...strange. I am done trying to be "only" the funny person. I hope that with all the nice people on this site that I will have the courage to stick to my goals, instead of having food stick to me. (see funny!)

I am really interested in talking to those people in their late 20s early 30s and seeing how they are doing, but I appreciate all comments and seeing how great everyone is doing. It's hard no matter what, especially when you don't know anyother way.

Is anyone afraid of what they might look like once they lose the weight? I never have been healthy so I don't know what to expect. I know that is probably a weird question, but it is an honest one.

I'm also new here and I have also been fat since forever, but I've lost 44 pounds this last years and it really fells good to hear all the compliments, but must of all, to feel better about yourself. I still have a loooong way to go but I'm starting again and hoping to find support here and give some if I can

Okay, first off, this is totally random but it is weirding me out how much you look exactly like the best friend I had in college.. weirdness.

Anyways, Hi.. I'm Kae. I'm 23 and live in MN. I can be a little weightloss buddy for ya if you like. I am just starting this site and just starting over with the weightloss thing as well.

I have had times when I was a little thinner but I do still have worries about my body not going back as well.

Anyways good luck. You'll do awesome. Take it one day at a time.

We're ALL here for ya.

Kae - too funny as I was weirding out about how much she looks like a friend of mine. I mean I thought it was her but heavier. So I don't mean to be rude by saying "but heavier" but my friend weighs 125 and she's absolutely drop dead gorgeous - you'd have to hate her for looking like that if she weren't so friggin' nice and funny etc, etc. Anyway, the answer is you're going to be even better looking and let's face it you've got a head start

and good luck.

unwilling, I know what you mean about being afraid to lose weight. How will I look, how will people react, treat me, what if I'm not happy, what if I have excess skin, what if my bra size shrinks to nil... All those insecurities are in the back of my mind. Sometimes I think I've sabotaged myself in the past because I've been so afraid of being slim. I was down to a happy 175 a few years ago. That lasted... a few months, and then I started to climb again. This time, no sabotage! I'm doing this for ME, and I'm not letting anyone, me included, get in my way!

As for being the funny one, we all need someone like that in our lives! See you around!

Hey Linda! Stay warm there!

Hey Kae, don't worry about that until you get there. I know, easy to say--and a lot of folks do worry about it. But don't let it hold you back.

You are at a good age to lose weight! Earlier the better--then your body can adjust more quickly.

Slow and steady is the way.
