Default Hello and Introduction!

Good morning/afternoon all. I wanted to say hello to everyone and do the typical stats./intro.

I am in my early 30's and have gained 30 lbs in the last 2 years - I attribute it to a very stressful job and very bad eating habits because of it. I am no longer with that job, but am still finding it near impossible to start dropping the weight, even though I started eating good (watching fat/calories, making sure I was eating regular meals, watching portion sizes, etc.) last June, I still managed to pack on 5+ additional lbs.

So now I am trying a modified version of South Beach, I have been on it for 1 week, and have only lost 1 lb. I'm really tired of eggs... LOL!

I am trying to work out 3 days a week, although I admit I overdid it on Sunday and now I'm still really sore.

So that's me in a nutshell!

Hi Elspeth and welcome.

Somebody else has posted in the support forum today about only losing 1 lb on the first week of the South Beach diet. There's lots of good posts in response to that so you should take a look.

Re all! It's been a month now since I first joined and I'm finally back, so I just wanted to say hi again.

Initially I was following a modified South Beach plan, but after 5 weeks of it I was tired of feeling like crap (headaches, dizzy) and was finding it was too restrictive to follow long-term in my busy "on the go" life. I lost about 2 lbs during those 5 weeks, so it wasn't for naught I guess.

I'm ready to try again - maybe Weight Watchers online this time??
