Smile Any other new Mommies?

Hi there!
Long story short I am an almost 30 year old female, new mommy of a handsome little boy. Ok....he's almost 6 months, the easy weight came off after pregnancy now its time to get back to being healthy and tiny.
I am back on Weight Watchers and is going good. I have also started doing home cardio with Turbo Jam. Did the Learn and Burn today, yep out of shape for sure!!!
Looking for others in the same situation, some how my body produced that extra belly bellow my belly button after giving birth (any tips on how to get ride of that would be great!).
Hello To ALL!!!

Hi there -- I'm a new mom too.. My little tank is 7 months old now and I've had it with the extra weight! Time to get serious! I'm 40 and mother of 5 with a full time job, so I've found eating healthy and getting into exercise difficult in the past.

I'm doing LAWL and Yoga Booty Ballet 3 times a week (so far) and that little extra belly thing gets in the way of yoga.. so I need to lose that too. I just started 2 weeks ago.

Nice to meet you! Hope to chat soon.

Nice to meet you too!
I started Jan 1, down 5.8lbs, funny how the point eight means so much!! I am still on mat leave so I am lucky in that way that I can take the time with the little one and time for me too, even if its only a 1/2 hour or shorter!! HAHAHA

Thumbs up

I had the same thing happen! I was down 5.8 on my last weigh-in. Today I gained .4 lbs and I was kinda bumming about it since I've been sticking to my diet completely... then my counselor asked if I was "having my cycle".. and that is the reason for the gain.. so now I'm not so bummed.

I've been back to work for some time, and really found it tough to make time for myself - I didn't even have time to shave my legs anymore!! That's all changed now that I've started this weightloss endeavor, and I've started doing a yoga workout a couple of times a week, but I need to make it a habit. Are you doing any exercise regimen?

I am doing Turbo Jam, I just started this week, just on the learn and burn part right now, I will continue that this week and move upinto the 20 minute workout next week. I also try to get out for walks as much as possible, weather has warmed up so I take the little one out with me.
Have to find me a ticker....

How odd is it that you and I, in Canada and Minnesota respectively, can be out walking comfortably this time of year.. and people in Texas are dealing with ice storms??

My dh and I are purchasing a treadmill this coming weekend -- so I won't have any excuses not to at LEAST walk several times a week.

Default Hi Ladies,

I am a new mommie as weel, though not as new as the two of you. I have a 16 month old son, Jackson and I am also trying to get my body back. I gained a significant amount of weight before I got pregnant and was just under 200 when I found out. I gained 32lbs when I was pregnant and lost it all pretty quicky, but I was still 50 pounds overweight to begin with so...

I started WW and doing kickboxing and yoga in August and I gave lost just over 30lbs. I am shoting for 20 more, but the last few weeks have bee a struggle. I am at major plateau. Lately I have been binging and last week I gained for the first time Luckily this week, I am down 2lbs so hopefully this keeps going.

I am not sure what sort of facilities you have available to you, but I took swim class w/ my ds and that was great for getting me moving and I always felt motivated to work out after, since I was so cold, and needed to warm up LOL. I belong to the local Y, so I just put Jackson in the sitting room after we swim and get 45min of cardio in. I work out 5 days a week, but I need something new. How do you like those work out tapes? I saw an infomercial for them and they look great, similar to my kickboxing class, but I could do it home. Is it worth checking out?

Default Another New Mommy

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new Mommy. My daughter is almost 3 months old and all of the easy weight loss has stopped. Now I'm trying to find time to start exercising again. I know what I need to do. I've done it before with Tahitian Cardio and Tamilee Webb's cardio blast. I just have to find 4 days a week to do it. Any suggestions?

How cool that we have a mommy thread going!!

I've been a member of Gold's Gym for several years.. but I've found that I do better with doing things in my own home. I can do it right after work, or after the kids are in bed, or before everyone's up in the morning.. and not have to worry about a sitter, etc. I'm not a morning person, so I usually do it right after work and before dinner.

There's my take on it all..
