I lost 2lb at my WI#7 on Tuesday - down almost 22lb since my official start. I need to stop comparing myself to LizRR from 7 years ago. I know that I have been cheating this second round (wine and "low carb" snacks = hi fat/hi cal) - my first IP round I had lost 32lb by my WI#7, so I've essentially cheated myself out of 10lb to date. My blood pressure is still on the high side too. I'm going to start adding in weekend walk & weight workouts to my mix. I typically try to workout 2x/weekday at lunch, but that doesn't always happen like it should and I'm a lazy bones on the weekend, even though I DO have the time (much better option than day drinking with my neighbors!) - I have better luck doing EARLY morning workouts before the day gets started.
Here's my progress to date - official IP loss is 21.8lb, 2% body fat. I know I do have consistent losses - but I KNOW they could be better because I KNOW that I have been cheating every week (a few cheats a few times a week, every week - especially on the weekends). I may have to become a social hermit for a few months. I still have over 33lb to go until goal - help me keep my eye on the prize!!! WI#1: 8.2lb, 0.3% WI#2: 1.9lb, 0.5% WI#3: 4.2lb, -- WI#5*: 3.8lb, 0.6% WI#6: 1.5lb, 0.2% WI#7: 2.2lb, 0.4% |
I lost another 2lb yesterday at WI#9! Down a little over 25lb - almost half-way there! Unfortunately my BP is still on the higher side, but I was 10lb down from my last checkup with the doctor, we are waiting until October to do one last BP checkup before considering medication. I should reach goal by then, or be pretty dang close. I'm actually finding this IP routine is really speeding up my weekday mornings - as I get all my meal prep done and have my food ready to go out the door to work.
My friend who originally got me back on the IP wagon officially quit last week, she was my IRL support - I got a bunch of packets though! I tried the Mushroom & Parmesan Cous Cous last night with riced cauliflower and it wasn't bad taste wise, but the smell didn't hit me right. |
I missed my WI#10 on Tuesday, but pretty sure I'm down a few this week! My scale is teetering close to dropping down to the next decade - although my official 4pm fully clothed WI is typically higher than my 6am naked home WI, I've been off/on dieting the past year, dropping and gaining the same 20lb - but I haven't been in the 160's since I originally gained the weight, that will be a big milestone getting to see 169.99999lb on the scale!

Doing ok, but had some fruit yesterday and today!! I know there are worse things, but really need to be 100%!!

On the plus side, after dropping these first 30lb I am finally at a point where it's being "noticed" - losing 5lb at 200lb is not as drastic as it is at 170lb I guess. |
New to IP!
Hey all, I’m new to the plan just started yesterday and must say I’m suffering with headache and exhaustion and big time hunger! I know a few people who have had success so I’m hoping I can stick to it. Hoping some support here will help!

Thanks for the welcome! I’m finding it hard to imagine doing this for months but I’m trying to just focus on one day at a time! I’m normally pretty active but have had zero energy. Does it really get more tolerable??

Day 3 for me. Today I to have been struggling with a migraine - to the point of light headed, dizzy, nausea...that's what got me looking for this forum. Glad I found it!

I’m on day 4 and I’ve had bad headaches every day but today has definitely been the best. I went on what would have been a really easy hike for me before but it was pretty brutal. Can’t wait for that energy buzzing!

Think I might be eating too much !? I am still confused a bit. Is it 3 total in phase 1, plus a restrictive right
So today was Coffee Shake (bottle type) 2 cups veggies Bar ( + supplements) 2 cups veggies 4 eggs scrambled with side salad Pudding And I still have doridas??? Hmmm |
I don’t know if they might start us out at different places in terms of how much we eat? I’d like to lose 20-30. I’m allowed one restricted plus 2 regular.

Hi All! For Phase 1 it is 3 packets per day. One breakfast, one lunch and one snack. Using a restricted packet is optional. For me personally I am “salty” so always chose a restricted crunchy snack in the evening. As I moved along I would cut out the restricted packet and use an unrestricted one to change things up and boost my losses a bit. Also important is to have your 4 cups of vegetables a day and lots of water. Also enjoy your 8oz (measure before cooking) of dinner protein. The plan really works and once you get past the initial “Keto Flu” you’ll feel the energy surge and feel great. Hope this helps! |
