Sorry for the absence, still working that IP life, just crazy busy at work! I do spinach smoothies most mornings, I actually do coffee + spinach/power greens with a vanilla rtd. I mix the greens & spinach in the blender first, then add rtd so it doesn't froth over in the blender.

But it is not easy. I am hoping a routine of protein shakes/bars and healthy dinner+ minimal snack will stick..

What is your plan for maintenance?

Hope the weekend was great! I am still trying to figure out what maintenance plan I’ll do. I thought about weight watchers but can’t see myself going to meetings/weigh ins. I would like to watch my intake all week and then be more loose on the weekend go back to being more strict Monday etc... My fear is that I won’t get it together on Mondays and get out of control and lose my focus 😢

Good luck with Maintenance jelliehel! I ended up with two back to back pregnancies a few months after I made goal (although my last "baby" is now 3 years old - so there goes THAT excuse!). I do think exercise is going to have to be a big part of my phase 4 life. And weekends are the worst for me too!!!!

I really need to get back on here and do my meal planning better for the WEEKENDS!!!

I hear ya Liz! I too know that I have to exercise to keep on track but I really don’t like to exercise. I can tolerate walking so I try to do cardio walking videos and I do walk my dog daily. The dog walking is better than nothing but definitely doesn’t get the heart rate up.

Nice to see some action around here!!

As far as maintenance and weekends and planning weekends - I could wrote word for word what you both wrote. And if I am bad on a weekend it becomes to easy to make I a cheat week!

I am now in week three and I feel like my weight is sticking!! I am getting frustrated. Considering I have no bread, no carbs, no fruit, no sugar, no dairy etc. etc. etc. - I have almost, just barely made it to 10 pounds down. That seems soooo slow to me. I would think with how strict this is, I would have lost 5 pounds a week and be down 15 by now...ugh. Plus on top of the IP food which is pricey I still have to buy lots of chicken and veggies...so I want all this money paid to be worth it. I keep thinking about quitting honestly...did you guys ever go through this?

Be sure you have realistic expectations. Losses on IP are an average of 2-3 per week/10 per month. The less you have to lose the less you lose each week.

Thanks for the reply ! I will stick to it and hear ya. I just see a lot of people post bigger losses. Itrying to be patient

Hey all,

I weigh in today...wondering what it will be. So far

LizRR I feel your pain, I have been comparing this time around to my first big loss the first time. I have fallen off the wagon several times but what bothers me is its taking me longer this time around to get where I wanna be. I'm losing my motivation all over again. LIfestyle changes are not easy I know but this is really a struggle for me. Good Afternoon All.

Honestly prettyone - my losses are slower this time around - but I KNOW that I'm not sticking to it 100% like I did before. Still losing, slowly, but surely. I seriously want to hibernate over a weekend, or take an IP retreat or something - I need to really buckle down these last few months - I have 25lb to go...over half way there!!!
And Happycamper - sounds like you are doing great! I will say that I notice the weight loss is more "see-saw" than linear - so try not to get a low week get you down, because typically it means you are due for a Big Loser Week.
My WI is tomorrow, which means I'm being good today and tomorrow! I missed last weeks WI due to babysitter. I forgot my food today, but had a pretty veggie-heavy healthy lunch with a lean fish for protein, Mediterranean food - cucumber salad, roasted cauliflower, cabbage salad, broiled fish - didn't eat the tomatoes.

prettyone 07-30-2019 03:59 PM

Same here LizRR for some reason this time around I'm not as strict and the weekends are harder for me. I'm also half way to my goal but things are moving slow but I need to refocus and get back to the paper and get it done. Good luck to us all, we got this. No matter how long it takes I'm learning not to give up this time around.

Happycamper22 07-31-2019 01:13 AM

Hey guys! I don’t if any of us are strict strict. I don’t measure the oil or salt and sometimes not the veggies...or protein lol. And I forget the vitamins sometimes...

My WI I was down 2.

Off work this week so been busy and actually harder to fit in the veggies and even all the meals. For sure so much less hungry than before which is good, and when hunger hits I eat and it’s gone. So that’s a good change!

How are y’all?

LizRR 08-01-2019 11:37 AM

Happycamper, my first time around I was super strict and lost it fast - this time around - it's going to take me 2x as long thanks to all my cheats!!!! Good to hear you found your ketosis groove - it is funny how the animal hunger goes away after getting into the program.
I'm making a pact with myself to "get back to basics" and go "Strict" the rest of the week until my WI on Tuesday. Back to measuring veggies, oil, etc and absolutely no cheating on the weekend! Also going to do weekend morning walks this Sat & Sun - I have a treadmill in my bedroom so really no excuses for me!!!!

How's it going all? Jellihel - are you calling it done?

Lizrr? How is your week?

Pretty quiet and same old over here. Slowly but surely. Getting bored of my usual foods. Tried egg roll in a bow, delish! Going to make a hamburger bowl later for dinner.

Hi!

Not done yet. I went a little wine crazy and have to reign it in a bit. Big Mac in a bowl is one of my favorites. I make it with jicama fries. Very filling.
