Liana - that Indian buffet looked amazing! We have a fantastic buffet near work, but I've been actively avoiding it knowing I will have a very difficult time controlling myself ;)

Jenny - thanks :D I never thought I would enjoy running, but it's really brought peace and clarity into my life

I finished the VA Wine Country 13.1 in 2:18 - 7 minutes slower than the Rock N Roll 13.1, but it was a much different course with VERY different weather (felt like Florida, not Virginia). Best part was I felt amazing afterwards and other than a brief spell of tiredness last week, that was probably more hormone-related than anything, I didn't have any of the recuperating issues I had back in March.

Eating clean this week - since my nephews wedding, we've had event after event, and I've been too lax with my eating - too many treats, nights out, & sugary desserts, even with all the exercise!
Clothes are ok, but I am seeing puff / chunk in my face & belly - pictures don't lie! I am sure the majority is water / carb-overload, but better to reign it in now. Also, it was a bit of an eye opener about how fast things can get out of control - but I am happy that IP has given me the knowledge and tools to know I am making too many not-good-for-me choices.

Hope everyone is doing well :)

canadjineh 06-22-2016 04:07 PM

Congrats on the Wine Country run hysteria! Funny but I only picture tobacco when I hear Virginia, but they can't very well have cigarettes sponsoring a run, lol. :smoking: I didn't know there were vineyards there. Beautiful I'm sure. My SIL and her hubby just moved this past winter to Virginia from Maryland. It's not far from the MD state border though; they used to live in Prince Frederick and now they are somewhere just across the arm of the Chesapeake. They need to be close to their sailboat.

Ugh... Up in weight and having a hard time putting down the fork or saying NO when something I "don't/shouldn't" eat is around.

catlady1981 06-24-2016 12:23 PM

TGIF Maintainers!

Thanks Liana for starting the new thread.

Day 6 of Reboot. Down 2.6, water weight I'm sure. Had a very hard day yesterday. SOOOO hungry all day. There are only so many cups of peppermint tea a girl can drink. If I see another cucumber I may scream. But I can do this. Just waiting for that not hungry feeling to kick in like it did before. Either that or I will switch over to the Alternative plan.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. I'm going to a festival to see the Gin Blossoms play and then fireworks!

catlady1981 06-27-2016 01:24 PM

Happy Monday Maintainers!

Down a total now 4.10 on reboot. Woohoo! Plus inches.

I made the switch over to the Alternative/Diabetic Protocol. This is doable. Strict P1 is so hard at this point. I'm still loosing so I'll keep at it. Also I tell myself since I am eating more food then I have no excuse for not exercising. I took an hour long walk both Saturday and Sunday and it felt really good.

Also: Found some amazing new protein bars. They are called Oatmega. Super tasty with recognizable ingredients. You can see the oats, peanuts, pieces of fruit. I got some at Sprouts ($1.99 ea) as well as Target ($1.50 ea). They have lots of flavors and they would be considered a restricted on P1. They are nice change from the Quest/Mission taffy type bars. I found out about them at the IP Alternative Facebook page.

canadjineh 06-28-2016 01:59 AM

Hi Andrea! Great new picture, I like!
Crashtested hang on!! Don't even go into the self talk battle - just immediately drop the fork and get away from the table. You can do this! We are rooting for you!
Wonder how things are going for Laura in Italy.... I can hardly wait to see the photos.

Liana

Jenny38 07-05-2016 07:18 PM

Hysteria -sounds like you had a great run. It's always wonderful to feel good after doing that kind of distance. I am usually struggling to walk.

Andrea - great work on the reboot and love the new picture. I should try to remember how I did mine and update it.

Liana - have you seen Slip's photos on fb? They are beautiful. It looks like she is having a great trip

I'm back to running again! Makes me very happy and very frustrated. I can't do 5km without stopping yet and pace is slower but I know I'll get there. I lie my bike and swim training is going well. Hoping to do 2 Triathalons in sept. One sprint and one Olympic distance.

crashtested 07-06-2016 09:37 AM

I had been running 3x a week since then beginning of April and suddenly stopped after my last run on June 13th. So I ran out (lol see what I did there ;)) of excuses last night and put my shoes on and got in a quick 5k! Back on the horse and into the rhythm!

canadjineh 07-07-2016 04:14 AM

Slip's photos on FB look awesome.... seems like she has had a wonderful time! Hopefully we will hear more when she can hop back on the forums.

Fist pump for all the runners/walkers/cyclists!!
After 7 straight nights of work I am really pooped out and 3 off sounds really good although most of it is spent in recovery, lol. Back to work on Friday night :p but the other City Patrol person & I are trading 3 on/3 off this month so I am looking forward to that. DH & I just veg'd tonight and watched an old Robert Ludlum based movie from 1983 (and laughed at the clothes and hair!) and got into a kettle cooked bag of Rosemary & Olive Oil Chips. Gourmet stuff, but waaaay too many carbs (better smarten up in the morning).

I still can't seem to find the time for aquafit on my days off, seems they are taken up with stupid errands and housework, etc. And visiting/helping Mom & Dad of course.... The pic of your kids with grandparents on FB looked sweet, Jenny. Spending time with my mom makes me think of you and your dad. Same situation

Liana

catlady1981 07-07-2016 12:56 PM

Hello everybody!

Thanks for the pic love ya'll. Reboot plugging along. Hope to see Slip's pics on here since we aren't FB friends. Italy is on my bucket list.

Jenny: Hooray for exercise! I am jealous that you can ride your bike right now. It is so darn hot here (100 degrees +) that I just can't. So I'm doing a minimal workout on my stationary bike.

Liana: In the words of John Lennon: Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. It is hard to fit in everything in a day. But enjoy your days off!

crashtest: Good for you for finding your running mojo again.

bubbleblower 07-09-2016 07:50 AM

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if there's anyone around who remembers me, but I started IP right after Thanksgiving in 2012. I hit my goal weight by the spring of 2013. I was pretty good about maintaining for the first year after hitting goal, but let my weight creep up little by little particularly over the last year. I finally decided it was time for a reboot after lingering around 145 for too long. I was tired of tight shorts and jeans, and have a couple of big trips coming up.

Today is day 8 of the reboot, and so far so good! It's nice to see that IP still works when you stick with it. :) I'm sure that some of what I've lost so far is water weight, but it certainly helps with motivation! I committed to sticking with it for at least 30 days, or until I get back to 134.

I moved in 2013, so I no longer have a convenient way of getting IP products, and was using alternatives a lot anyway toward the end when I was on IP the first time. (Is there anyway nowadays to get them online?) This time around, I'm primarily using Quest Cookies and Cream protein powder, Quest bars, Protidiet Hot Chocolate and Protidiet Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal. The last two products are available in 21 serving jugs so it saves money. I can use the hot chocolate to make a pudding or shake, or add it to my coffee. I also just bought Healthsmart Cream of Chicken soup and LOVE it! That will become a staple for me.

Anyway, just wanted to reintroduce myself and say hi! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

canadjineh 07-09-2016 10:42 PM

Hiya, bubbleblower.... I remember you, you are our Cayman Is. diver, no?
Welcome back, and good to hop on & do the reboot before it gets too out of hand ;).

Andrea: What suggestions of things to do can you give me for Houston area? I know you are in Dallas, but...
DH & I want to see the bat flight from under the Waugh Drive bridge (250,000 Mexican long tail bats) at dusk, probably go to House of Blues and hope they have something good scheduled, do a bike ride along Buffalo Bayou using B-Cycle. Oh, yeah, and maybe NASA Space Center. Anything else I should consider? We are looking at the very beginning of Dec 1-3 and middle 18-20. Bookending our trip to Jamaica.
Who else on our boards is from Texas.... I can't remember. HIS I think....

Liana

bubbleblower 07-10-2016 07:08 AM

Liana: Yep, I go back and forth to Cayman a lot. The tourism folks and Cayman Airways are even using some of my photos in their ads. :D We'll head back down early next month, so I have that motivation for the reboot also.

It's been very hot here and exercise just hasn't made it onto my agenda in about 2 weeks. Might be time to get back into swimming mode. Today will be a big lunch and IP dinner since we're going out to brunch - except no mimosa or bloody Mary for me! Hope you all have a great Sunday also.

canadjineh 07-11-2016 05:51 AM

Sunday is my end of shift so I'm actually posting at 2:40 AM Mon... Almost done work. Only 1 hr til I start unlocking all the city & park washrooms, the easy part of the job. Congrats on the photo promo gig, bubbleblower! I was good today until I found a 95g bar of fairtrade Belgian chocolate with matcha green tea in it for only $1.48. Oh my goodness! Yum, but at least I shared it with DH. I seem to not want to get back to under 140 these days despite what I say. I need to stop the self-sabotage with "good deals." grrrr
Liana

bubbleblower 07-11-2016 07:08 AM

Well, I dipped below 140 briefly, but as I thought, it was water weight and I've been hovering around 141 ever since. At least things are going generally in the right direction. Over the last year or so, I've found it incredibly difficult to get back on track and kept sabotaging myself, too. At least I've been sticking with the plan for the last 10 days. Took me long enough to get to this point to make a change! My DH said he was proud of me for the commitment last night. :)

catlady1981 07-11-2016 11:41 AM

Liana: I haven't been to Houston in over 20 years but...I highly recommend going to NASA. The last time I was there they had the old Titan rockets on the grounds and the museum inside is very educational and interesting. The bike ride sounds great but be prepared...Houston is very, very humid, even in December. If you are in to shopping, then visit the Galleria, plus it's a break from the heat. There are also some underground tunnels in Downtown that are kind of cool. If you are into museums, the Museum district is lovely. I wouldn't recommend taking a drive to Galveston, the beaches are gross from the cruise ships. But... if you have time, drive down to South Padre Island. Lovely unspoiled beaches, wildlife galore. I was there in April and it was beautiful. It's about a 6 hour drive from Houston. If you look on TripAdvisor, there are lots of recommendations for fun things to do from folks who have been to Houston much more recently than I have.

Bubbleblower: Yay for reboots! Glad you are having early success. That is a big motivator. The only place I know of to get IP products online is Amazon and I seem to remember they were more expensive than at a clinic. Some of the IP products just don't have a good equivalent in the Alternates but I got used to it. My two fav soups are Healthsmart's Cream of Broccoli and also the Mushroom.

bubbleblower 07-11-2016 03:52 PM

Andrea, thanks so much for the tips on the other Healthsmart soups. I'll have to give them a try. My favorite IP soup used to be the broccoli and cheese, so it's nice to hear that there's another similar one that might fit the bill!

It's so great to have a supportive partner in this, bubbleblower. I think it's a great boost when you are feeling blah about where you are at.

Well.... after all the blah, blah, blah, whine, whine, whine...
I was under 140 this morning at 139.2.
I need to keep off the scale except for once a week right now. Otherwise I think I just obsess and that never helped anyone's weight.

Looking back I suppose the question was somewhat silly, Andrea, as Texas is a pretty big state and why would I think you've ever been to Houston at all for that matter? Not necessary if you live in Dallas, lol. Kinda like tourists I meet in other countries who say to me "Oh, hey! I met a guy from Haida Gwaii in your province once. Do you know him? Can you tell me what to see & do there?" As it is a two day drive and an overnight ferry ride away from me, I just smile and give the basics in information - no insider tips here :chin:.
I do thank you for your humidity tips though... I will have to plan exercise accordingly (like when we were in the Philippines). DH & are a both space nuts and for sure we will go to NASA. We went to the one in Pensacola, FL and saw the actual Mercury capsule. Wow, how tiny to be stuck in there for such a momentous journey. One day we will go to the Space coast in FL, I think.

Liana

bubbleblower 07-12-2016 02:40 PM

Nice job, Liana! My scale is stuck at 140.2 right now. I wish I could keep myself from weighing so often but I've never been able to ween myself away from the daily weigh-in.

When most of you do a reboot are you going back to a strict P1 diet? I've been sticking pretty close, but have been adding a supplement when/if I need it in the afternoon and I can't say I'm strictly measuring protein or veggies. In any event, it seems to be doing the trick. I think the biggest things for me were cutting out the carbs that had sneaked into my diet and also cutting out wine. (Can't believe I've gone 12 days without a glass of red wine. LOL. Don't think I've done that since that last time I was on the plan. :) )

canadjineh 07-12-2016 03:09 PM

Technically, my reboot is not a reboot. It is kind of P2 Alternative Plan, lol. Although I still eat a lot more fat than P2 Alternative suggests. All my dairy is full fat right now (like 10% Plain Greek Yogourt). I am just eyeballing measurements and may have to check with proper utensils again. My main tweak to get things down is to not eat those bad combos like tortilla chips. I also still don't eat high carb veggies much at all (carrots, peas...) but I must admit I eat far too many Quest Bars, lol. I do have other protein powders available for breakfast shakes, snacks etc, but let's face it... they don't taste the same as a Quest Bar - much lower in calories/fat/carbs. The bars are just easier to take for a snack to work when I am lazy, instead of 'real' food.

Liana

bubbleblower 07-12-2016 03:18 PM

I had been eating two Quest bars on a typical day. (Yep, quick, easy, and tasty (now that they tweaked the recipe again!)) Now I'm limiting to one, at least until I get back to goal. I also started doing my morning shake in the blender instead of just a shaker and that seems to help keep me full until lunch. Since I can't eat gluten, at least I'm used to staying away from a lot of the foods that used to tempt me. I'm sure, though, that my 'improvised' plan is higher in fat than strict P1.

blueskiesahead 07-12-2016 04:52 PM

I've always liked my shakes really thick, so I made them in a blender with LOTS of ice and less water. I saw this article recently that says a thick shake makes you feel fuller.
Besides, it takes longer to drink them through a straw that way too ;)

http://www.cookinglight.com/eating-s...cial_facebook+

bubbleblower 07-12-2016 05:01 PM

Makes sense, and definitely seems to be working for me. Don't know why I've not done it in the past - except for the one time I tried adding spinach to a chocolate shake. (Although I know a lot of people seem to like them it didn't get rave reviews from me and I never made one again.) :p

canadjineh 07-12-2016 05:35 PM

Breakfast for me is more about getting it over with, lol. I can't be bothered with fuss when I'm at home. But I do like omelettes, and other good stuff for breakfast when travelling. I have never been a good morning person - can't hardly function until several hours after I get up. To think I used to get up at 4:20 am when I worked at a gym.... :sp:

catlady1981 07-13-2016 05:09 PM

bubbleblower: I am doing a P1 reboot on the Alternative (Diabetic) plan. I ordered from packets from Nashua, but when that stuff is gone, if I haven't gotten back to 140, I'll go to a more modified P2, no more packets. I'll use the protein powder that I have, EAS shakes that I get at Sam's and my Mission and Oatmega bars and Quest Chips that I can get at GNC. The new formula of the Quest bars was a real turnoff for me. Are you saying they reformulated again and took out all the corn stuff?

For me, it's staying away from the sugar that is hard. We have so much "food"(insert donuts, cupcakes, cookies, breakfast tacos) here at work all the time and that is where I get into trouble. At home I know I can't have peanut butter in the house. I can't seem to stop myself after that first tablespoon. I had a weird jump in weight this week, but I think it was because sodium was high the day before. Drinking lots of water trying to flush it out.

Liana: I don't mind you asking about stuff to do here. Most of the people I know here have done pretty extensive travelling in our state. My reason for visiting Houston all those years ago is that my mother is buried there. I lived there when I was quite young, but we moved to Dallas after she passed. If you really like music, and I know you do, Austin has some great live music every night on 6th street. Many a night I have spent there in my misspent youth!!

Blueskies: My favorite shakes are the ones I make in the blender with protein powder, spinach and half an avocado(when not rebooting) and ice cubes. Very satisfying and keeps me full until lunch. It's what I had for breakfast this morning as a matter of fact, but without the avocado.

Thanks for the info. Sounds kind of like what I'm doing. The Quest bars have been reformulated but still have the corn fiber. However, they taste much better and have a better texture that when they first changed them. And re: the salt, the same thing happens to me and can really affect my weight on the scale the next day. Right now I'm fluctuating between 139.8 and 140.2 on pretty much a daily basis. Can't wait until I break that barrier and it sticks!

Jenny38 07-16-2016 01:06 PM

Hi ladies,

Bubble blower, great job on the reboot! I remember you from previous posts, you'd go on great scuba diving trips :), I think that was you.

I find it almost impossible to do strict P1 for reboot but find I can do it about 90% right and that works.

I have switched my shakes to BOOMER nutrition you can only get in Canada I believe but may be able to order off amazon. Counts are pretty much same as IP but 20 gram protein. The container costs 32 and you can make easily 15-20 drinks. I always water mine down and add ice thinking that will fill me up longer. I may have to try thickening it.
I use IP shakes for work tho when needed. They are easy to shake in the shaker.

Andrea - that's to bad you aren't getting on long rides. Hopefully things cool down soon. Hoping to swim 1.5km tomorrow and bike for 40km. I love biking so much more than running but still find it lots of work!

Liana - my dad is struggling but the cottage is gone now and that was a stress packing it all up so we're holding he will bounce back a bit this week. So hard.

I'm maintaining my wt which is taking daily work and planning. Really focusing on the weekends and to be where I was Friday on Monday.

bubbleblower 07-17-2016 09:29 AM

Hi Jenny! I remember you, too. We still go diving frequently and I'm still shooting photos. We also went on our first river cruise in Europe with Uniworld last year and enjoyed it so much we came home and immediately booked another for this year for the Christmas Markets. It's so hot this summer it's fun to think about being in cooler weather in a few months.

I had been really good about staying away from carbs, but splurged a bit this weekend and am paying for it now. Time to get back on track!

canadjineh 07-19-2016 03:41 AM

Ahhh, bubbleblower, river cruising is on my list, but Summer is CRAZY for work here. Both of us going 24/7 it seems until after September for me and after November for hubby. Then things finally calm down enough to take some time off. I've been through most of Western Europe on my own, but would like to cruise on the Danube to the Black Sea or Volga - St. Petersburg to Moscow.
But I'm too cheap to pay the $200-$300/day/person that it costs. I think that's outrageous.

Jenny, hoping your dad is doing a bit better....

Liana

Jenny38 07-20-2016 09:05 PM

Hello ladies,

The River cruise sounds amazing Bubble blower. I'll have to check it out on line. DH and I were given a bit of $ from my parents when the cottage sold so we are thinking of a 4 day trip to New Orleans next fall. Has anyone been or have recommendations? Looking for a long weekend getaway flying out of Buffalo NY. We've done Vegas and NYC.

My indulgence meal of a lovely peppercorn steak, cease salad and bread is slowly coming off and I'm back today with in range. I did mostly p2 and that seemed ok and added extra patience.

Liana - dad seems better this week and they figured out if he naps lots that helps. So whenever they go overnight somewhere or there is a transition he sleeps first. How's your mom?

canadjineh 07-21-2016 05:07 AM

Hey Jenny we loved NOLA in November. The locals are just so much more relaxed when it's not Mardi Gras time. DH & I stayed in the French Quarter right next to the Convent. I will grab some info for you. Since it was off season we had an amazing deal. We didn't prebook the whole trip. First few days in the Garden District we booked ahead then just picked up deals at the Jackson Square tourist info centre for French Quarter. Then we stayed right in town at a very fancy hotel for our last couple nights. Met "The Donald" while we were in the rooftop pool. He truly IS an ***. We pretended we didn't know who he was. He never said his name lol, just told us he was from NY and talked at us some.

bubbleblower 07-28-2016 04:07 PM

River cruises certainly aren't inexpensive. That said, the better ones (e.g., not Viking) are all-inclusive and have wonderful tours, food, and wines. We took our first one soon after I retired and then scheduled the one we're going on this year since we enjoyed it so much. At this point we've decided to live while we're living. ;) To be honest, I've traveled extensively for decades and haven't once regretted spending money on travel, which is more than I can say about some of the "stuff" I've bought. LOL.

I'm kind of trying to reboot my reboot since I seem to have lost my way after getting half way there. Seems like things keep cropping up that throw me off my routine. I'm just thankful that I never got too far off track!

Hope everyone is doing well!

catlady1981 07-29-2016 01:49 PM

Happy Friday Maintainers!

I'm plugging along on my reboot. Just about out of my Nashua Nutrition order so will be moving to P2. Still not where I want to be. So will keep at it until I am. Is it unreasonable to want to get back to where I was when I first entered maintainence? Otherwise I see an insidious creep of a few pounds here and there and the next thing you know my new "scream weight" is 10 lbs over my last scream weight. Any advice?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

canadjineh 07-30-2016 04:45 AM

Hey Andrea... I know the feeling. I DON'T think you are unreasonable. Right now I seem to be stuck at 139ish which is still just above my scream weight and I definitely don't fit all my favorite clothes at the moment. But I am also working on bursitis of my hip (so inflammation) and still won't be sure what is up with my autoimmune thyroid issue (high antibodies) until retests in Oct. But I also don't seem to be very motivated to buckle down right now. I know I can do better.

Bubbleblower, I too have never regretted spending money on travel. My parents got me started when I was quite young. Dad had 8 weeks of paid vacation and we used it all! And not only during school vacation times. My first major trip was when I was 7 - they took my brother & I to France & Italy (friends & family in both places). We went to Europe a couple times for 3 weeks in Sept and in March when I was still in elementary school. Any extra money now goes toward funding travel. We live in a very modest home (albeit fully paid for) and we drive older vehicles and never buy new, only well loved used, lol. We don't change our furniture every 5 years, (we have judiciously bought antique pieces and second hand solid wood vintage pieces early in our marriage). Money goes to travel (and jewellery - my secret vice, lol). I don't want to wait until we are retired and then possibly too decrepit to enjoy it.

Liana

catlady1981 07-30-2016 01:10 PM

Thanks Liana. I'll keep plugging away. I've been able to walk past the donuts at work each Friday for the last 7 weeks (that's how long I've been rebooting and I'm down 7 lbs)!
I hope you get your bursitis and autoimmune issues under control soon.

Travel: I have also never regretted spending money on travel. Those memories can never be replaced. I was born in Germany and have lived in Ireland, but I have not been back since I was 6. I would really like to do some extensive traveling and not wait until I retire when my knees won't be able to handle it. Travel wasn't big on the agenda when I was younger simply because I had 2 kids to raise and those little buggers are expensive!

My daughter has had an amazing summer in Paris. She got an internship at the OECD (policy making) and has been there since 6/1. She finishes up next week and then she goes to Bali for a week and a half with friends she has made while in Paris. I am living vicariously through her travels right now. Last year I joined her in New York City after her internship was done and that was amazing. I have always wanted to go to Paris, but it just didn't work out for me this summer. I'll get there eventually and my daughter can be my guide to all the best places. But I am going to Mexico (Akumal) with both my son and daughter over Christmas and I'm really looking forward to that.

BTW I tried the Quest Salted Caramel protein powder yesterday and it was so good. I also going to try the new Oatmeal bar today. It seems to have gotten very good reviews on the Facebook page.

Yaaay, Andrea! My husband tied me down & fed me tortilla chips with salsa & old cheddar tonight :( Well, not really, lol, but he did suggest the snack and 'Dummy Me' agreed it would be perfect. SIGH! I think I may be coming up to a TOM, my obsession with cheese this past few days has been a bit much.

I just read an interesting article in the paper about barging on the canals in France, with 6-20 persons. That would be my style...
Found a website that has me intrigued: http://www.gobarging.com/our-cruises-page/hotel-barging

Haven't checked out prices yet, but timing of cruises would be a problem since our busy season is summer and we only really have time off in the winter...

My DH lived in Germany until he was in high school, and we were able to go back to Heidelberg with his brother on last year's cruise on the Rhine. It brought back some great memories for the two of them from decades before.

Since so much of my travel has been dive-related, I'm thankful I didn't wait until retiring to so so much active travel. I'm not planning to stop diving anytime soon, but I don't see myself doing a lot of the rigorous diving I've done in the past - like to the Galapagos, and some very remote locations where conditions can be very challenging.

What a great experience for your daughter! And I'm sure she will love Bali! I'd go back - particularly to Ubud - in a heartbeat!! What a special place.

We're still doing a lot of dive-related travel, but have already started booking accommodations for a trip to Tuscany next year. Italy has been on my list for a long time.

BTW I tried the Quest Salted Caramel protein powder yesterday and it was so good. I also going to try the new Oatmeal bar today. It seems to have gotten very good reviews on the Facebook page.
I just got a shipment from Quest two days ago with the same items and love them both! I've also tried the Chocolate Chip powder and the PB powder but think the Salted Caramel is my favorite so far. And the new Oatmeal bars taste just lot chewy oatmeal cookies! Yum!

Hope everyone's Monday is off to a good start! I'm hitting the gym this morning and I'm going to be try to be good at least until I get on the plane on Friday. Looking forward to the Cayman fresh fish and jerk chicken!! :carrot:

I've yet to delve into any ALT products, but this might have to be my first! Sounds amazing! Thanks for the tip!

Liana!! Hahaha, I love that meme! I will print it out and stick it to my monitor to help with will power! That barge thing looks amazing. I recently read(but didn't get to finish) a book about a bookseller that has a book barge and goes down these very canals in France. It called The Little Paris Book Shop by Nina George. I had to turn it back in to the library before I finished reading it so now I'm waiting to get it back. I'm kind of obsessed with all things Paris/France right now. I bet those chips and cheddar were tasty! But back on the band wagon today...right?

bubbleblower: My father was in the Air Force. I was born in Heidelburg but we came back here before I was 2 and have lived all over the US, Ireland and Panama. I would love to go there some day and meet some cousins that still live there. I'll tell my daughter about Ubud. She doesn't scuba, but it looks lovely. She is going to the pink beach on Lombok.

The new formulation on the Quest bars is much softer so I took a chance and bought a box of my all time favorite double chocolate chunk. They are pretty good. I'm just waiting to see if they go all hard like the first reformulation did. The oatmeal chocolate chip was a real winner. I'll get some more of those.

No .lbs lost on reboot last week, but a couple of measurements went down. I started Sprint 8 last week so there may be some inflammation. So far my knee is holding up so I'll see how it goes. Also adding in strength training a couple times a week. Everything is very soft so I need to toughen up. I found a website/Dr. that seems pretty reasonable, Dr. Mercola, he has a lot of good things to say about food and exercise. He kind of reminds me of Mark's Daily Apple, the Paleo site I was following before I did IP.
