ok will try this!!!!! thanks so much

So awesome!

The chocolate quest makes AWESOME hot chocolate. The pb quest is amazing isn't it?? Your slowdown could definitely be not getting enough water- surprising isn't it? Try to get more vegetables in too. I'm in my second week of P3, this program does work- follow it to the t-it's amazing!!!

How did you prepare it? Make it like a regular shake first and then slowly heat up?

Destony 01-24-2016 12:47 PM

Actually, 8 oz of hot water from my Keurig, a scoop of Quest powder into my ninja-pulse it for a sec, open to release pressure and repeat that process a couple of times-it was great

LOSINGFORGOOD2010 01-24-2016 12:59 PM

Omg you guys were right!!! I'm def throwing in more shakes!! I hit 182.2 this am!! Woooooo

LOSINGFORGOOD2010 01-25-2016 08:26 AM

ok, back up to 183.5 :(

??? I only had 25g carbs yesterday, but 142g protein.. is that too much? how do you calculate what is right for you? I know though I did not gain 1+ lbs of FAT! it could be salt or not enough water or whatever, but not fat.

its so hard to start the week like that :(

LOSING, I'm not sure anybody can say for sure how much protein you should have, but a little rule of thumb I've used in the past is "ideal body weight in kg. & 1-2 grams of protein per kg.".. so, 135 lb. converts to about 61 kg., so you need between 61 & 122 g. protein... it seemed to work ok for me, even though some days I was higher or lower... thanks for bringing this up, I hadn't thought about it since I rebooted...

Your goal weight...

I'm not sayin' this is how everybody figures it... I'm sure I learned this from one of the old IP gang who was here in 2010, maybe I'm Svelting or AzShowGirl?.. they were both pretty knowledgeable. .. anyway, there are probably protein calculators online that might give you a good idea...

ok got it ! searched one up and it says 66-149 based on current weight... so I am right in there...

OH WAIT ! I checked a second one that shows your current weight in kgs, x .8 and that means I should have 66 per day.. now that is a BIG DIFFERENCE from 146

so confusing

weird, I will just up my water today

mamacitaof2 01-25-2016 01:35 PM

Losing - I wouldn't fret about your daily weight fluctuations. It's pretty common to have it go up and down.

I really like the Salted Caramel Quest, but instead of water, I make it with coffee. I brew it the night before and put it in the fridge. SO GOOD! I also really like the PB Quest, but I felt the chocolate had a metal aftertaste. I ordered the Cookies and Cream Quest, but I don't get it until tomorrow. Can't wait to try it!

See what I mean about nobody really knowing!.. actually, IP protocol is pretty much right on for the amount of protein we need... but it sure won't hurt to up your water...

I'm not a coffee-drinker, so I use chai tea to mix my shakes... yummmmy...
