Hello All! I'm back!

I remember this group from well over a year ago. In fact, it took me 4 tries to log in to the site again! And it proudly told me I had last visited in December 2014. Now that is a long time ago.

I'm back on phase 1 after a long slow gain. Have managed to catch it at the 20lb gain mark rather than the 50 lb mark. So, with positivity reigning supreme, I will say that it's a good thing I didn't leave it until I was back at the beginning. I'm not even going to say I'm disappointed with myself because this is a tough journey and we should all be commended for actually doing something about it rather than wallowing on the coach with a wine and donut in hand. The crucial moment that made me decide to come back was when I put on my active wear pants to go for a walk last week and they split up the bum!! Seriously. The good part was that it was while I was home alone and not out in public during the actual walk. And I'm down to about 3 outfits that I can fit into for work and I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes when I have a closet full of beautiful clothes (I spent up large when I got to goal!)

I started back on IP last week. First WI tomorrow morning. I've been pretty good. It's definitely harder to be as strict with yourself the second time around but I think I'm back in the groove. I'm a bit embarrassed to tell my friends that I'm back on IP so I've just told them I've given up wine, chocolate and junk food for Lent. I may tell them the truth once Easter arrives.

So pleased to see some friendly faces are still here. Slip, you are an absolute rockstar. I'm full of admiration for how you've kept on being dedicated to posting and keeping all of us accountable. Looking forward to being fully involved again and not dropping away once I've reached goal.

All the best everyone for an OP IP day!

RosiePosie101 02-15-2016 06:37 PM

Darn it! Just realized that I will probably have to update my ticker. Not even sure I can remember how to do that either. Sigh.

Slipfree 02-15-2016 07:07 PM

Hi Rosie, Yay! The girls are coming back. I did try for a while, but felt I was posting to myself. But, when I stopped- hello 25 pounds!

Oh, I am so glad that your pants split at home! But, I guess our pants were screaming at us. I miss my cute clothes too! Although with our cold weather, I have been hiding my muffin top with big sweaters. Big trip to Italy this summer and I will def. Be sans muffin too.

I have no idea how to update the ticker, but I don't care. 175 here I come.

want2bskinnyagain 02-15-2016 10:07 PM

Slip: your bumps and lumps comment made me laugh. Too bad it is the truth for me. Back on program, hopefully the weight comes off as easily this time.

Posie: glad you are back. Sorry about the pants. We can do this together.

Day 1 for me and feeling crappy, I doubt it is diet related already but who knows. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Slipfree 02-16-2016 04:22 PM

Hi Ladies,

Last day off of our two day break. I have not left the house since Fri., lol. We have had every type of weather! Below 0 F. Temps, snow/sleet and now pouring rain and wind. I stayed snuggle up and am finally beating my cold. Am cooking crock pot shredded buffalo chicken for dinner and should do some laundry. Sounds exciting, huh?

I have been filling my time with trip shopping and planning. I always have a terrible time with shoes after I fly to Europe. My feet/ankles swell even at goal weight, argh!

Liana, your trip is almost here!

Want2be, hope your second day went well! Hang in there kid.

Rosie, who cares what friends say! I am sure they have noticed our pants getting tighter. We need to take care of ourselves.

RosiePosie101 02-17-2016 12:24 AM

Daily check in

Evening all, just returned home form a very long day at work. The good thing about being on IP during busy season is that I'm simply too busy to notice any food.

Had my first WI for my reboot and I'm down 4 lbs. pretty pleased with that when it took me a couple of days to find my IP groove again so was only OP properly for about 3 days.

I picked up a'new to me' IP item today. vanilla rice crispy squares. I actually meant to get the vanilla wafer but both my coach and I got confused. Tried them today and it wasn't bad. Anyway, is it restricted? Not that it really matters. Was just wondering.

Stay warm everyone. I don't know how you guys deal with the cold. It's even been colder here recently but I daren't tell you the temperature.

want2bskinnyagain 02-17-2016 12:27 AM

Day 2 done! Had a good day eating, on plan all the way. Water is my new BFF, lol. Feels good to be drinking water and staying on plan.

jemma51 02-17-2016 06:22 PM

Hi Ladies, Seems as though I have some company here. I have gained back almost all that I had lost. To say I am disappointed is a total inderstatement. I hardly have any clothes that fit and the one that do look horrible. I gained the weight back pretty much all in my stomach and it looks disgusting. Anyway I'm struggling really hard getting back into the groove. I'm pretty good during the week and then the weekend comes and I blow it. Past two weeks. I lost eight lbs and went out with my boyfriend to mexican food. Yes, I cheated and bamb gained 9 lbs. Its been two days and those 9 lbs are still there. Anyway, it feels good to see I'm not alone. I have checked in here a few times and it seems as though the IP part of 3fatchicks is pretty quiet compared to what it was back then.

Slipfree 02-17-2016 07:42 PM

Hi all!

The site has changed on my IPad! Now it is like my phone app. Ugh.

Rosie, I have tried the rice crispy squares in the beginning but I think they were discontinued at my clinic. It was actually in the 40s today, expecting 10 degrees higher by the weekend, yahoo! Congrats on your WI! 4 ponds is great.

Want2be- yay! for a solid day 2, I agree I feel much better on program.

Jemma, welcome back! Today is a new day. Brush off the past and get ready to buckle down :) We need our clothes to fit. And yes, it does seem much quieter on the threads.

Good day for me, little behind on my veggies since I got home late. Working on my water too. I am tired but my cold is finally going away, yippee!

canadjineh 02-17-2016 08:06 PM

Welcome back want2b, Jemma, and a hello to RosiePosie who was off the boards before I popped on.
Good to meet you!

Keep it up gals, close your eyes and feel the vision of your previous healthy weight. Visualize your goal again and how it feels!! You did it once, you can do it again!

I tried on my bathing suits, taking a one piece as well as 3 bikinis. Not my smallest bikinis either  but I will have fun nonetheless. Cancun tomorrow, here I come! Sun, sand, ruins, and 27C!!! I can hardly wait, as it is 'mud month' here. Misty rain, fog, the last of the dirty snow on the edges of the road and mucky yards. And 5-8 degrees C. Eww, it will make my last night at work tonight pretty miserable as I am outside about half the time on my beat, but that will make the contrast all the better when I get down there.

Have fun, Liana! Hope work goes by fast and that you enjoy your time in the sun.

want2bskinnyagain 02-17-2016 10:23 PM

Jemma: welcome back. I am very disappointed with myself as well. I tell myself I know better this time. I read an article yesterday about losing and maintenance. They said "the real work starts once you get to goal". So true. Know you are not alone and you have done this once you can do it again.
Slip: glad your cold is getting better, and you got out of the house today.
Liana: Hope your shift is flying by. Have a great time on vacation, soak up some sun for me!
Today was a good eating day, the rest of it was a right off. Had a major nose bleed this morning and it wiped me out for most of the day. But I did go for a walk tonight. Hopefully the weather will continue to be warm so my walking friend and I can get out more.

Slipfree 02-18-2016 06:05 PM

Hi all,

Day 17 for me! Seem to be hitting stride, which is good.

Want2be- Bummer about the nose bleed. Does this happen often? Good job sticking to program and walking!

Liana, is on her way to sun :)

Jemma- how did today go?

Shout out to Hawaii, Hiker, Steph, Luccilove, and Kooky! Just in case you are reading.

RosiePosie101 02-19-2016 06:47 AM

I'm not sure if I'm a big fan of the new look on my iPad. It's a bit confusing but I guess I will get used to it. I've stayed on track this week despite working some long hours. Work provided pizza for everyone last night but I had no desire to eat it at all. Ketosis has clearly set in! I'm gearing up to cook some chilli and some soup this weekend so that I'm all prepared for the late nights.

Good luck everyone!

want2bskinnyagain 02-19-2016 10:36 AM

Slip: no the nose bleed thing was very unusual for me. Hopefully it didn't happen again.
Rosie: Great job not having the pizza!
The weekend is here, this has always been a challenge for me. First weekend and I am feeling determined. I picked Monday as my weigh in day, to try to keep me on track for the weekend. Guess we will see if it works. I will be checking in on the weekend, if you are not have a great weekend and be strong!

Slipfree 02-19-2016 07:29 PM

Hi,

This was a long week at school!(and it was only 3 days). TGIF! Shrimp cocktail and salad for dinner, no meat on Friday for lent. Made a salad dressing of soy sauce, olive oil and lemon, it tasted good.

Want2b- stay strong! Believe me, I wanted to dive into a bottle of wine after a bratty confrontation with a 7th grader today! But we can resist and watch that scale move down. Support is only a message away.

Rosie, go to the bottom of the page and click visit entire site, it popped back to the old version for me. Way to resist the pizza! Making food ahead of time is always a good idea. I am so tired when I get home. I do not mind the cooking part- but hate the clean up.

I am beyond tired. Combo of pms and insomnia is making me a worn out girl, but I have a NSV, my shirts are fitting so much better!!!

We can do this! OP all weekend= melting pounds

RosiePosie101 02-19-2016 11:08 PM

Thanks Slip for the tip to change to full view. That worked and I'm so much happier!

Good day for me today. So busy at work but there's no time to stop and think about food. That's got to be a positive. I have both a baby shower and a bridal shower this weekend. Taking some club soda with me and then I plan to eat beforehand in order to not partake in the cakes etc. wish me luck!

All the best for a weekend of OP.

Slipfree 02-20-2016 07:14 PM

Hi,

Spent the day shopping and out to dinner with Mom. Menu was harder to navigate than the last time that I went to this restaurant. Ended up with steak, asparagus and mushrooms. Expensive! Was still hungry after dinner. Missed the wine, but I got through it.

Rosie hope your events went well!

Want2be- how ya doin?

want2bskinnyagain 02-20-2016 08:12 PM

Rosie: Good job planning ahead for the parties you are going to. Stay strong, you can do it.

Slip: Too bad the restaurant was a disappointment for you.

I have been so tired lately and going to work today was now how I wanted to spend my weekend. We have been busy the last 4 weekends and that is not like us. I am getting tired and worn out. Hopefully next weekend will be a catch up on sleep and relax weekend. As far as my eating goes I am doing well. Had to work at noon today so I had an early lunch and survived until dinner! LOL. It was a good thing I worked thou, DH met his mom and aunt for lunch, not sure I have enough will power to go to a restaurant yet. I find if I have food planned or prepared then I can go on auto pilot and have that, if I don't have anything organized then I derail. Guess I better get into planning ahead mode. Had taco salad twice today, that was always my go to meal before. I must have over dosed on it last time because this time I am not loving it so much. I better find another "go to" meal soon! Talk to you all tomorrow!

Slipfree 02-21-2016 11:29 AM

Hi all,

WI today, down 4! 16 more to go. Going to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Want2be- where are you working on Sat.. Are you still at the school? As for tired the first few weeks on IP are exhausting. I am skipping a impromptu extended family event for just that reason, I am tired and need some down time. How do you make your taco salad? Have you tried Big Mac in a bowl or cauliflower fried rice? As for dinner out, the food tasted good, but was something that I could have easily made at home.

Rosie, I feel the same way about being busy at work. No time to think about being hungry. Plus my food is limited to whatever I brought. Two social events in one weekend must have been tough.

I have decided to skip book club this week. Just have no desire to sit there -not eating and not drinking. Bugs me that half the people never read the book. Time to practice a little self care.

want2bskinnyagain 02-21-2016 12:14 PM

Slip: the recreation center I work out of planned a "Winterfest" day so they asked us to set up a station with kids activities. We don't have much snow so the cross country skiing and snowshoeing got cancelled. It could have been a great event if Mother Nature would have cooperated! Lol. It was still fun to do but tiring.
I make my taco salad with lettuce, taco meat, veggies and salsa. Nothing too exciting but I did live on it last go around.
Today I am doing some cleaning, watching the local kids skating carnival, and getting ready for the work week. Happy Sunday.

Slipfree 02-21-2016 05:33 PM

Want2be, 1. our weather has been bizarre! 60s yesterday, possible snow tonight.
2. Do you use spices for your taco meat? 3. I hate the process of cooking! Cleaning up stinks!

Need to motivate and throw some laundry in!

want2bskinnyagain 02-21-2016 11:06 PM

Slip: forgot to say great job on the 4lbs down. One foot in front of the other is all we can do.
I season my taco meat with the package of taco seasoning from the grocery store. Not on plan I know.

RosiePosie101 02-21-2016 11:23 PM

Slip - excellent job on the 4lbs!

My events went well. The second one was today starting at 1pm so I ate lunch beforehand. And had a cup of tea and sparkling water while I was there. They had a massive platter of raw veggies so I heaped up my plate and no one noticed that I wasn't having the sandwiches and cookies etc. The cake was carrot cake and I just said that I don't like carrot cake and that was that. Sometimes I think that everyone is looking at what I'm eating and they are judging me and then they will ask questions. Often not the case. Just goes to show that no one pays any attention at all!

I've got a stressful week of work ahead but I made some stir fry this evening and have enough for a couple of meals. Feels good to be prepared.

The scale has not been my friend this week and I'm feeling a bit bunged up. Hoping this will clear soon, and in time for official WI on Tuesday morning. Wait... Yep...TOM is close. That explains it.

All the best for a great IP week!!

Slipfree 02-22-2016 04:06 PM

Hi,

I had such an incredibly frustrating afternoon! Adult interactions, my immediate reaction when I got home was food. But, I am posting here instead! Mantra: I will not eat to deal with stress. How about screaming instead? Aargh!!!!

Rosie, so glad your weekend events were successful! Planning ahead for your stressful week is great planning. I was supposed to stop for chicken at the grocery store, but I was too irritated. So now, I will be eating eggs for dinner. As for the scale, ignore it. Keep on working the program, we know that the pounds will come off in their own time.

stephascope 02-22-2016 10:11 PM

Howdy everyone!

Glad to see some activity here. I was afraid it would be quiet.

Well I'm back on the wagon. Up about 10 lbs since before xmas. I was doing so well with diet and exercise prior to the big holiday but I've been struggling ever since. We recently went on a cruise and that was a complete gong show with the food and drink. I still manage to get exercise in but it won't do a damn thing if you're treating yourself like a garbage can.

Today was a Phase 1 day. I have to admit I'm pretty stinkin' proud of myself for finally getting my poop in a group. I always get scared that I won't catch this before I'm back up to 180.

I'm glad to have you all back here to check in for accountability. I'm the coach but no one checks in on me! I'm sure the clients keep a close eye and can see it in my face when I've been off the rails :P

<3 Steph

Slipfree 02-22-2016 10:27 PM

Yahoo, Steph is back! Wish I had caught mine at ten :P I think vacation should be about fun, food and drinks. The key is to get back on track when we get home. That is the hard part! Those carbs are mighty persuasive when you are mid slide. To be honest, I just got tired of separating and being vigilant. When I get to back to my happy weight, I really have to figure out a more balanced approach to every day eating. Congrats on a good 1st Phase 1 day!

stephascope 02-22-2016 10:50 PM

Thanks for the encouragement Slip. I agree that holidays should be fun and I had a great time. It's just so hard to get back on track. Yes, the separating carbs and fats can be tedious. I found that my winning combination before Christmas was regular exercise and not 1 Phase 1 day per week after an indulgence day but an extra one in the week. I like to indulge a bit more than once a week so that was working for me. I was really enjoying the Jillian Michaels work outs but I have an old ligament tear in my ankle and a new tennis elbow injury so I haven't been doing that since early January. Getting older sucks :( You try to exercise to stay healthy and everything breaks lol

want2bskinnyagain 02-23-2016 12:48 AM

Rosie: great job on you events. I sometimes think people are watching what I eat and drink. Then try to tell myself, I don't care. I don't want to be this weight, and I am doing something about it.
Slip: sorry about your frustration today. Good job posting about it and not turning to food or wine! Those things would only cause more frustration.

Steph: great job on catching the slide at 10lbs. It is hard to get back on once you have a slide. I think we are all here because we have had a slide and need to get back on track. Welcome back.

WI day for me, down 6.6lbs! Happy with that. Starting on week 2.

Slipfree 02-23-2016 06:41 AM

6.6 pounds!!! Way to go Want2be!!!!!!!!! Yay!

stephascope 02-23-2016 08:32 AM

Hi want2b - Congrats on 6.6 lbs down! What a great start!

Slipfree 02-23-2016 05:29 PM

Hi all,

Better day today! Going out to dinner with friends to a restaurant that has an IP menu. Right now, I am starving!!!!! It is snowing, but we are going anyway. TG, because I did not thaw anything for dinner. Would have had to have eggs.

How was your day? What do you find most difficult at this point. I miss avocados!

want2bskinnyagain 02-23-2016 06:50 PM

Slip: Glad you are having a better day. Drive safe in the snow and enjoy your dinner out.

My day was good. PMS is coming and all I can think about is junk food. Not giving in but hate how I always think of food. Right now I am missing the popcorn and chips. Push thru this week and the scale will reward me next week right?

Hope everyone is having a great op day.

Slipfree 02-23-2016 09:27 PM

Hi,

Found some IP crockpot recipes http://gvsconsulting.blogspot.com/20...pot-meals.html

Want2be- I have been pms-ing all week. Poor kids, I have been less patient! Guess that we have to live with cranky, if we want to see the scale go down.

RosiePosie101 02-23-2016 11:14 PM

Lots of lovely supportive messages on here lately! I had my WI this morning and as expected I didn't lose. Also didn't gain either and I lost an inch off my waist. So I will take that NSV and work with it! Definitely feeling better today so hoping for a lovely big whoosh for next week.

I'm in the process of thinking about holidays. My next one isn't until July which seems so far away. But I will have got rid of the 20 lbs by then and will look forward to relaxing with friends in a bikini (fingers crossed).

Slip, I hope your dinner out went well. I had left overs for dinner and ate at my desk which is a terrible habit. I need to make more effort to get out of the office for a walk at lunch or dinner time. Will aim for that over the next few days!

All the best everyone!!!

I'm going to try some of these this weekend! Will let you know how I get on. Thanks Slip!

Jenny38 02-24-2016 09:02 AM

Hi ladies,

Been absent for a bit and of course wt is up. So much easier to post when I'm on track but I guess that is the point I need to post when I'm not and I'm up12 😁. I know it will come off but struggling with strict p1. Doing lots of planning and posit or self talk. Will see my coach this week ......or next

Liana - how was your trip to Cancun?

It's great to be back with all of you strong women

want2bskinnyagain 02-24-2016 02:07 PM

Rosie: maybe the scale will give you a whoosh next week. But inches lost is also a very good thing.

Slip: thanks for the recipes, I will check them out. I need to use my slow cooker more often.

Jenny: Welcome back. Better to stop the slide at 12lbs. Some of us took a little longer to get back here and have more weight to get off. :o. We are back and going in the right direction now.

It's my day off. Did some grocery shopping today. The price of veggies is going to break the bank I think. lol. It is definitely cheaper to eat junk. Crazy.

Slipfree 02-24-2016 08:09 PM

Hi everyone!

This is one long week. Test day in my class, stayed late to get them graded. Came home ready to cook chicken burgers and they were not thawed! Eggs again :(. Made Stir fried cabbage with soy sauce too. Oh well, stomach is fed. Day 23 done!

Jenny, welcome back from vacation! Glad you had fun. Perfect time to buckle down since you have a lot of company :) I know that we can do this!!!

Rosie, my trip is helping to motivate me too! A bathing suit is a must since the villa has a beautiful pool. Great attitude about the weigh in, we know that the scale works in its own time. As for eating at your desk, I eat in my classroom all the time. We only get 20 minutes off.

Want2b, veggies are pricy, but we are worth it!

Can not wait for Sat., hopefully going for a massage.

want2bskinnyagain 02-25-2016 06:17 PM

Slip: I hate when I have to change my dinner plans last minute, makes me crabby. But a spa day sounds nice! Enjoy.

My day has been fine. Still op 100% which makes me very happy. I have been hungry the last couple of days, not sure why. Oh well I will keep plugging along.
