Default Weight gain (or stall) on antibiotics?

Hi guys I'm really new here. I've been on ip for 5 weeks and this week the scale hasn't seemed to move too much. I have also been on antibiotics for the past 7 days with 3 more to go. Could this have anything to do with it in your experience? Thanks!

Carrie

I know that there has been a couple of ppl that have stalled and/or gained a few ounces while on antibiotics..so yes, it can happen. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi, Minewgoal is right, I've seen a couple of posts where people have stalled or gained a pound.

My aunt (who is on IP) was on AB's for 2 weeks and stalled the first week, gained 0.5lbs the next week. But, fear not, she lost almost 6lbs following week she was off them. So, stay OP and your body will catch up.

Feel better soon!!

I went up half a pound, but caught up after. My doctor told me my body was fighting and infection, and tends to keep energy like when fighting a cold. Its the way our body tries to protect itself. I had a sinus infection, and even tried to exercise like crazy, scale still went up lol

Okay, so I weighed into and was still down 1 pound, so that's not too bad. Now I'm excited for next week!

This is an old post, but I just thought I'd mention that I'm on Weight Watchers, followed plan perfectly, ate a few lees points than I was given every day and didn't have any of my weekly points and I went on antibiotics Friday for 10 days, and this morning at my weigh in, I was up 1.2 frustrating lbs.

I did notice that my weight started going up when I started feeling sick last Wednesday and I just kept creeping up a little every day.
