So glad I restarted IP
Down 1.4 this week for a total of 7.8 lbs since May 2nd.
It would take me 3 months to lose that on WW.
Just need to plan ahead to never regain this weight again

I am SO happy I started the IP program. I had my second weigh in today and am down 4.1 more pounds. So, in two weeks I've lost 15.2 pounds! It would take me at least two months to do that with any other diet or plan I've been on, so this has me thrilled!

I had my 4th week WI today and I lost 1lbs but no change in body fat % :( the positive thing is that I was able to get past my comfort weight of 140lbs..I couldn't do it on any other diet in 4 weeks...

:congrat: for all the good weigh-ins!

I had mine early, on Thursday instead of Friday ... Week 4 was -0.6.

I'm actually OK with this - I weigh myself daily and I have a pattern of holding every 2 pounds or so before I drop. Anyway the total for my first month on IP is 6.4 pounds, which is a huge accomplishment for me and almost the best I have ever done. (Actually I just checked - I lost 5.8 pounds in one month on IP last year... on South Beach I lost ~13 pounds but it took nearly 6 months!) This has given me renewed optimism. I was focused on the fact that I am still above the weight I was when I first put on extra weight. I should be focused on the fact that I had a very successful month!

I have taken today to re-dedicate myself to this journey. I slipped a bit over the weekend - ironically not so much by eating off plan but by not eating enough ... not planning ahead enough... and eating "slightly" off-plan things when with others. I find it really hard to be so strict when I am out with others or at someone's house. In some ways I wish I could hibernate for the next few months until I am in maintenance.

Anyway... I'm back to planning my meals very precisely and getting some exercise. Day one done! :broc:

Happy June to you all! :sunny:

Hi iPeeps :)
Just so you are aware, with the recent decline in activity (summer, work, life - we all know how it goes), some consolidation has occurred and there is a new thread for 2015 January - June starters here:
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...to-summer.html
The monthly threads are not closing, but it seemed to be a good time to try and bring more people together to share ideas and experiences.
Hope to see you there :D

5th WI tomorrow and not feeling very optimistic about it. TOM is on me plus I started doing 30 mins of weight resistance training this week so my muscles are quite sore. I haven't weighed but don't expect great things, although I'm feeling skinny today. I guess that's all that matters LOL.

I cannot believe how weak my muscles are though. It's going to take a few weeks and consistency to feel strong again. Anyone else did weight training without cardio while doing IP? Care to share their thoughts on it? I find my heart rate goes up quite a bit sometimes during my reps, so I am thinking it's more than enough exertion on such limited calories.

Looks like my biggest fear is coming true, it is always difficult for me to get past the 140 lb mark. Ihave been trying to lose weight for the last 3 yrs and always get stuck at 140 , get demotivated leave the plan and then gain the weight back..

I had high hopes with IP. I will try to stick to the plan for another couple of weeks and hopefully break the jinx..

I'm glad you did not give up. I have benn reading alot on these threads and have read many of Lisa's words of wisdom...I always think of this one when I find I want to give up...'stick to the plan...it works'...also "weight loss is not linear'....

I added a workout that combined weights and cardio (jillian Micheals)....I thought I was gonne die...like you said I felt so weak...what I realised (by reading on these thread) that IP is very low calorie wise and that if I was gonna do a workout that I needed an extra 'snack' after my workout...I statred taking a quest bar...it made a difference.
I was so afraid of not losing weight if I added but realised (read it here many times ) that IP does not encourage exercise at the beginning because of the low calories...some even said it could have the oppposite effect because your body would go into starvation mode.
I hope this helps.

Have a great weekend IPeeps!
