Some good news! Went to a basket raffle for school and won big. A galaxy tablet and 140 dollars in amazon gift cards. Yay for me :)
Liana, so sorry that you are hurting. Jenny, wishing you the best luck in your race tomorrow! |
Slipfree that is great. That is a huge WIN!!!
Went for 2nd opinion about my gallbladder there is a 60% chance I have to get it out at some point. I have to wait to see my GI surgeon next Friday to see what his final thought is - he has not seen the new tests I had done. I am getting real sick of IP again especially the veggies I am sure it is just burn out. I have a question do you really think it matters or makes a different if you know you cheated a little but then the rest of the week say 2 days you did not have any restricted packets will this help the cheat or does it really matter? I had a seafood soup from a Chinese restaurant and after eating I think it had a lot of salt and I had fake crab meat-problem has sugar in it. Thoughts? |
Wow, Slip!! Nice prizes! :present:
Luccilove: hopefully there wasn't much 'crab' in the soup because it is made of fish paste mixed with sugar and wheat flour (bet you'll never eat that again, lol). I think mixed with the sodium it could cause a bit of a stall very temporarily over the week (imho). The thing to think about is once you start deciding on 'cheats' while in P1 or 2, it is a very slippery slope and can become a habit and send us right back to where we were. It's the brain game that's toughest. Climb back onto strict P1 if that is where you are at... you'll be happier about it in the long run. Your time to eat crab soup will come ;) Rooting for Jenny at her upcoming race! :cheer3::cheer3: A warm pool helps, like the temperature of the kiddie pool, but unless I go to a bigger center where they have an arthritis exercise pool, I have to work out in a regular temperature tank. Then I have to hit the hot tub or sauna to get warm enough again since my core temperature drops during & after exercise (not the normal body response). It's worth it though. Hola, skinnyagain & Hawaii69! I went to work last night; since I've switched back to my old Cal-Mag a few days ago my pain has been dwindling, just a little stiffness this morning. Now I know the cause at least. Darn, those calcium gummies were just so much easier to swallow than the chalky horse pills. Liana |
Hi everyone,
Sure wish that I was feeling 100%,but this respiratory thing is hanging on. Have week of healthy eating planned out. I am thankful this is a four day school week for us. Liana, glad that you are feeling less stiff. Luccilove, my advice is to change up some of your recipes and break up your routine. Jenny, how was the race? |
Awesome prizes Slip! Hope this week brings you some much needed healthy vibes.
The race was amazing, so many runners - over 70000. I ran it in 3:11 and cried at the end. Who would have thought I could ever have done this when I weighhed 305lbs. Already looking forward to doing it again next year. |
WooHoo, Jenny!! Great run!
:woohoo::running::encore: Liana |
Slipfree & canadjineh - You are both right. I essentially stayed the same this week at my WI this am. My coach said the same thing. Stop cheating even if it is a little and mix up my packets and veggies etc.
Thanks as always! |
Hi all,
Yay! :yay: Jenny! So happy for you and proud of you! Luccilove- you can do it! It stinks but it works. I have faith in you, stay strong. I went back to the dr.'s today. I am still feeling wretched. Still have sinus infection but now an ear infection and bronchitis too. He wants me home for the next 3 days, but I have to go in to work tomorrow. Impossible to be out without a whole lot of prep. My munchkins do not do well with a sub. :( |
Slippfree-I have had many sinus and ear infection. I am sure you do need to stay home and rest. That is what your body is telling you to do. I home you are able to prep for the kids and then go home and rest. You need it. Feel better
|
Luccilove, I have had many too, but never after being on antibiotics for 14 days. They did bloodwork to find out what is going on with my immune system. My blood pressure is sky high and I am up 4 pounds :(.
|
Jenny: I am BEYOND thrilled for you, that's amazing!
Slip: Feel better, my friend. |
Slip, hugs to you. I hope you & the doc get a handle on this very soon. Please try to take care of yourself first, even if that means some substitute teacher will be cursing you under his/her breath. You are worth it (just like L'Oreal says)!
Systemic infections are tough to handle and they seem to break out in the weirdest way. DH once had a bout because of a low grade uti, followed by a tooth abscess that wouldn't heal, etc. Hi to all the peeps! I bet you have your feet up on the coffee table tonight Jenny! :D Liana |
Thanks everyone! Home for the next few days so I am hoping that the new Meds kick in soon.
Liana, the last systemic infection caused me to have my tonsils removed in my 40s, ugh! You are certainly right, the sub will be cursing me because my munchkins do not do well with change. But... I am miserable and this needs to improve soon. |
Thanks ladies for the congrats. Still feeling sore and lost a nail that was growing back and seem to be up 3 lbs but pretty sure water retention and swollen muscles.
Slip - glad you are home and resting. I don't know if you've looked you are into natural paths but maybe seeing one may help boost your immune system. The only other thought I have is taking probiotics to replace some of the good bacteria the medication is getting rid of. Just eat it a few hour after meds. Sorry for getting into advice mode Liana - how are you feeling? Luccilove - how did it go today with mixing up your packets and veggies? I made oatmeal IP muffins for the first time today, I was supposed to add zuccine but we were out. I can't believe I did a year of IP without making this. hi to everyone |
Slip: Good for you for taking time off work, sometimes not an easy thing to do, but it sounds like you need it. Feel better friend. Maybe you can relax with your new tablet and an amazon book! Good win, enjoy them.
Jenny: Over 70,000 runners? Oh my! I have a feeling I may cry after my first race too. It has been a bucket list item of mine, and it is only a 5k! Good for you. Lucci: How is the battle today? It is so hard to be 100% but worth it. Keep fighting. Maintenance is so hard. I am over my scream weight! Last week I started my weight training and I got 3 days in, also 3 days of running. But I was soooo tired and didn't feel well. I didn't increase my food and thought I was exercising a lot, so I thought that may have been the reason for lack of energy, tired all the time and yucky feeling. So I increased my food by a bit, feeling better but the scale keeps creeping up. So I increase my exercise, get sore muscles and gain weight. Doesn't seem right. I will keep plugging along and see what happens. It is discouraging thou. |
