Default Less carbs = less snoring??

So curious if anyone else is noticing this, but apparently per DH, my snoring has completely stopped after I started IP (1 week now). I know he has complained of my loud snoring in the recent years when I used a weigh a little less than what I weigh now, so I guess its not the weight loss. Guess it must be the lack of carbs?? Just curious if any body has had the same experience?

I guess I can add this to my NSV!!

This is fantastic because your quality of sleep is probably improving, as well.

My guess is it is the reduced inflammation, which is reduced by cutting back on carbs.
If you were further into it, I'd guess it was the actual weight loss but at one week, it probably isn't significant enough at this point to make that immediate of a difference.

I notice my DH snores more if he's eaten a more inflammatory (carb laden) meal. The days he's lower carb he rarely snores.

My husband mentioned the same thing, but not until after I had lost a significant amount of weight. I attributed it more to the weight loss, but i didn't realize that there was a correlation between low carb, inflammation and snoring. I have been sleeping well, except for the need to use the bathroom in the very early morning hours. It's a small price to pat for the better hydration.

My husband was on a sleep apnea mask because he would stop breathing during the night.

Since he lost 70lbs he only has the rare night when he even snuffles, much less those great honking wall-shaking snores.

I used to think there was a certain weight I had to be under to stop snoring - which is about 40 pounds less than I am now. However, after being back on IP (alternatives) for about a week my husband commented that he woke up, did not hear me snore and checked to make sure I was still breathing. He was amazed (well, panicked at first and then amazed). For me it's definitely the carbs instead of the weight because I have 100+ to lose. ....Which I am determined to lose once and for all. No more monkeying around!
