I hope my WI was okay to post for today? My WI days are going to be on Fridays to help motivate me to have successful weekends. The Jan 2 date seemed to fall in with the weekly WI. Plus, I wanted to see that 6 pound loss in writing! LOL.

joysh 01-02-2015 02:57 PM

I'm in, too! Thanks, Lisa! This should get me back to my goal weight and will be a great incentive! :)

canadjineh 01-02-2015 05:41 PM

joysh, good to see you again, so glad you are back!

You are good. Thanks for being such a good role model :)

stephascope 01-02-2015 06:28 PM

Thanks for adding me Lisa. I am still on "holidays" and won't be weighing in until next Friday. I would have weighed in on Monday but my clinic is closed on Mondays now in 2015 :(

TipTop 01-02-2015 06:50 PM

Really found the year end 2014 mini challenge motivating - especially during the holidays. It's all about holding myself accountable since I've been doing IP using alternatives and without a counselor. Looking forward to the IP 25 by Spring challenge. Thanks, Lisa, for all your efforts on our behalf!

kialya 01-02-2015 06:54 PM

I wasn't sure if we needed to check in each day or not. My actual weigh in is on Monday so I will probably change my week 1 weigh in at that time. I weigh in every two weeks instead of every week because of how far the closest office is to me. 45mins. - 1 hour. ;-( so I can weigh my self every other week and let you all know how I am doing. I hope everyone had a great new year!

lisa32989 01-02-2015 07:13 PM

Oh goodness no! Not daily.
Weekly
We're actually trying to get people to STOP those daily WIs!

kialya 01-02-2015 07:28 PM

I didn't mean weigh in daily I meant just checking in here to say hi and how we were doing.

sanibelover 01-02-2015 08:03 PM

Just requested access. Have been back on IP since September and lurking on the boards. Have a ways to go to get to goal so the accountability will be nice! Thanks for setting this up!

Vivig 01-03-2015 09:03 AM

Well I faced the music and went in for my weigh in this morning. NOT good! But I now have the tools and am confident I can bring myself back on track lose what I gained and finally meet my end goal! I have our Christmas to celebrate this week and then I am done!
Wishing everyone a VERY Happy New Year & GR8 start to our weight loss journey!

lisa32989 01-03-2015 10:35 AM

Hey all

If you've been added, get those current weights/weight goals in!
We're already into the first week and people are already posting Week 1 WIs.

The biggest part of this for me is making sure we have active participants.

I'm getting email requests from people who don't participate on the forum or who have joined but not participated in other challenges (causing me unnecessary work).

Read the rules carefully before requesting access. A 12-week commitment is MORE than a one or two day resolution. I'll soon be deleting people who haven't posted starting weights.

If you're brand-new, go to the daily chat and introduce yourself. Start participating in the forum. Late-starters are ALWAYS welcome but only active participants on 3fc IP The more you participate in the forum, the better chance of success!

Briael 01-03-2015 02:19 PM

Be brave, lurkers! There is no need for embarrassment or shame on 3FC-IP. We are all here to lose weight and become healthy versions of ourselves.

Don't miss out on a great challenge because you're "too new" or "too shy" to post. :)

LilyR32 01-03-2015 05:21 PM

Just submitted a request. I know I have missed the start date. I started IP November 22, 2014. WI today=down 17.5#. I have not cheated once! Has anyone experienced super cold hands and feet?

One of the classic signs of ketosis. I get it in the evenings, but not so much in the mornings. It's how I *know* when my body is burning fat. :)

linda.lou 01-03-2015 08:14 PM

Just sent you a request. :)

Annie85 01-03-2015 08:59 PM

restarting IP with alternatives

Did the IP diet in 2013 with a coach. Found 3FC while I was on the diet and received most of my information and determination reading through the form, since my coach wasn't the best. I never actually made it to my goal weight, but close. Unfortunately gained most of it back and now restarted January 1 with alternative products. I'm ready to get this challenge going and phase out the proper way, so I don't have another setback. Three days in and no cheats -- I know that's a good start, but more days lie ahead. Keep up the good work everyone! :grouphug:

Alohakiwi 01-04-2015 12:45 AM

Hello! I sent you a request. I was on IP in 2013 and started participating in the 3FC forum. I moved towns and had no IP available to me :( Now a new year and a new town and I found IP once again! Very excited to be back.

Thank you! And looking forward to success with everyone :)

mkp1111 01-04-2015 10:07 AM

I lost 25# with IP back in 2012. It was a great program for me because I saw quick results. Unfortunately I gained those 25# back during my cancer treatment (the oncologist told me to eat whatever tasted good to me so that I would keep my strength up - yikes...he didn't know how much I liked sweets). I underwent 15 months of chemo, 1 month radiation and 6 surgeries. I finished treatments in September and I am ready to get my life back. I restarted IP on January 1st - it feels good to be back.

Happy New Year - Happy New YOU, everyone!

lisa32989 01-04-2015 11:30 AM

Hi all

So far we have 42 people who have entered their data.
Collectively they want to lose almost 680 lbs.

We all know this program works.
I know I'm stronger doing it with others.

I can't wait to report our fabulous results.

FYI: on the year-end mini challenge the 26 people who completed the challenge dropped just over 230 lbs, in just over 4 weeks. And that was during the holidays!!! It works!

I joined the Jan 1 DietBetter.com 6-month transformer challenge, as well. Since I'm not going to a clinic, I wanted a the "official" WI this challenge will provide for me. I'm sure I'll be back at my goal before the 6 months ends so it will also help me stay on-track for maintenance (a skill I have yet to learn).

A couple of you have informed me you also joined that challenge. Hurray for us all!

Whether we're relatively new to IP or whether it is old-hat, being determined to stick with it is such a healthy choice for 2015. If you're rebooting, know that NO ONE has failed because they have yet to learn how to maintain. I lost 37% of my body weight on IP. I've kept off 24%. According to most research I've read, that is still considered successful maintenance (considering most don't keep any off).

So, for the first time in my life, my goal is to learn to maintain, rather than to keep gaining and re-losing the same weight. Something I read yesterday said that the biggest mistake people who have lost weight make is to relax. It is going to be constant monitoring for the rest of my life. This is a skill that is new to me and I will need to nurture it so it can develop. For me, this is uncharted territory. But I have some great models on the maintainers thread. I just need to hang out there when I choose to phase off.

Have a great week, everyone!

Thank You. Good to know why this has started.

Runnergrl 01-05-2015 02:41 AM

I am in for the challenge! I started the holiday challenge and then the holidays got the best of me - sorry for my lame last two weeks.
I am ready and focused to get this weight off for good. Tomorrow is my 49th birthday and I intend to spend my 50th feeling great about my weight and body.
Good luck everyone!

TeagsC 01-05-2015 11:11 AM

Hopefully it's not too late! I would love to join. :D

kimo88 01-05-2015 12:26 PM

I'm so excited for this challenge. I should be at or close to my goal weight at the end of this challenge (woohoo!) First weigh in tonight!

mkp1111 01-05-2015 01:05 PM

Day 4 of my IP restart = one big headache. :dizzy: Thank you Ketosis! I know it's only temporary and the end result will be so worth it.

Sara1603 01-05-2015 03:45 PM

I sent in my request . I was away over Christmas and went totally off program. I had planned to do that though. Now to get serious and get this done!

Runnergrl 01-05-2015 03:49 PM

Just filled in my spot on the chart!

Raja song 01-06-2015 10:34 AM

I would love to join in.....:)

Briael 01-06-2015 03:29 PM

When you send an email to Lisa with your screen name from 3FC, she will verify that you are currently active on the forums and when you click on the link in the very first thread you will have access to be able to type your weight in, rather than seeing the "send email" message. :)

lisa32989 01-07-2015 11:41 PM

mkp1111 01-08-2015 06:34 AM

It feels good to be a loser - 10# down! I was feeling mentally so down just a week ago wondering how and if I could get these last 25# off. It seemed like such a mountain to climb just to get started. I know that I can do it! If I can kick cancer's butt - I can kick this butt!

Annie85 01-08-2015 11:07 AM
