HAPPY FRIDAY!!

First weigh-in of my reboot - I'm down 7lbs and 5 inches overall!! It's gonna be a great weekend

I was happy to see that most of the veggies in my CSA share this week are IP friendly - with the exception of the potatoes and corn I'll be in veggie heaven

Kids survived the first week of school, and I'm working out my schedule for my classes - 3 of them are online and all 4 are reading- and homework-intensive so I've got my work cut out for me. Thankful that Hubby is willing to hold down the fort when I need to spend an evening at the library to get work done

Hope everyone has a great day!

Way to go! That makes for a nice boost into the weekend! I'm still thrilled with my WI so that should boost me thru another weekend.

Really need to re evaluate my wardrobe this weekend. My husband just told me it looks like I am wearing a circus tent lol.

I see cooler temps for us here in NJ next week so hopefully I can dig out some smaller sized light weight fall clothing...

Hooray on a FABULOUS first week Scorbett!!!!! Take it and run with it! I just spent a half hour with my oldest (he's 8) just hanging and talking before my daughter wakes up because he is still adjusting to our new schedule and missing our time together (I work evenings three days a week....which means a lot less Mom time once school starts). We're still trying to get in the groove here.

SGRealtor......get thee to a thrift store and get some figure-hugging clothes! You will find that people will REALLY start to notice a difference once you shed those baggy clothes. But beware, you are about to go through clothes like nobody's business. I found some sizes I actually skipped altogether....so don't get too attached to anything you find that fits. You may even want to pick a few things that are too tight because you will quickly find (with great satisfaction, I might add) that you grow right into them!

Happy this AM to get to take it a little easy. Once I get my son off to school, my 4-year old and I get to have some Mommy/Daughter time. This is her first week of 3 day a week preK, so we've been missing each other! Looks like some home manicures may be in our future. Or shopping.

Speaking of shopping, I put in an order for something called "Stitch Fix" (anyone heard of it?). It's an online personal shopping biz where you put in your sizes (I included measurements since I'm all over with sizes), style preferences and they send you 5 clothing items to choose from for $20. If you pick even 1 clothing item, you use the $20 as credit toward your purchase. It's like having my own personal shopper! Though they are going to be expanding their size repetoire, I think they currently may only go to size 16.

I get my first Stitch Fix in two weeks! I am excited because I have NO IDEA what clothes to wear and have pretty much been wearing the same few items every few days. I need to take the dive into getting clothes I love as a motivation to KEEP fitting into those clothes! I am five pounds down since I order my Stitch Fix, but I imagine the glycogen stores will be coming back soon so I think I'm good!

Have a FAB Friday, Friends!!!!

When I started IP, they used the brand Real Salt. Now they have their own brand. If you can find Real Salt, get that.
I've never seen a choice for iodized or non-iodized true sea salt.

NSV this morning - tried on my new size 12 shorts I bought on clearance last weekend and there is a nice gap in the waist. I needed a belt! They are Old Navy shorts, and I think their stuff is usually cut big, so I'm not getting overly excited, but it's a nice feeling!

I didn't get the chance to reply and say thank you yesterday. Work and home have been crazy. That being said, thank you! and I will check out the blog feature today.

scorbett1103 - That is fantastic! Way to go, and happy Friday to you!!

Jenny38 - Good luck with you weigh in!

This is day 5 for me, I still amazingly feel great! I am getting excited for my weigh in! I do all of my stuff remotely with my coach because there was no one close to my house. Since I have to order a month at a time she gives me a discount and ships to me. This month she happens to be traveling within 90 miles of me so she's going to give me an extra 5% on top of the discount she normally gives me, and I am just going to meet her to pick it up. How awesome is that!

Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Oh! I was going to ask, I forgot to take two of my Cal-mag's with my snack last night. Should I take them today or just skip them at this point?

First time posting!

Boo... I'm on week THREE and have only lost .6 lbs. I have 24.4 lbs to go. I am following the IP program with these coach approved exceptions:
- I have an extra cup of black coffee most afternoons
- I have about 10 pieces of sugarfree Trident gum with xylotol
- I've had a 4th protein packet on days where I exercise or am hungry (about 3 times a week)
- I've fallen short on my water by 2-3 cups most days (not ok with coach)

SO sad about this!

Some concerns I have had:
- Jicama is on the veggie list, and I have been eating it most days. I looked up the nutrient value, and a medium jicama (slightly less then 2 cups chopped) has 58g of carbs, with 32g coming from fiber. This seems really high... any thoughts?
- any opinions about the gum?
- I have 1-2 eggs a day, and my coach said that 1 egg = 2 oz of protein. Is it okay if I have this in the morning along with my cappuccino shake?
- Can I also have a cup of the veggies in the morning? Egg with mushroom and spinach sounds good.
- I save my last "snack" until late evening... is there any concern with having a shake before I go to bed?
- I have forgotten my last two cal-mag supplements a few times.
- I am using Coconut Oil instead of Olive Oil, as I prefer the taste. Any concerns with this?
- For what it is worth - I have been using WF syrup and bacon ranch dressing
- I had been making the pancakes with Crispy cereal, and just saw yesterday that some vanilla extracts have sugar in them. I checked mine, and, sure enough, there was sugar in it. I will use WF syrup to sweeten it next time

Any other helps or hints? I have felt dizzy a few times, and I have a pretty bad headache, and sluggish and tired most days. I have taken a nap every other day or so. I had expected this to go away by week three. I feel like my metabolism has taken a nosedive.

I should probably add that my TOM is later this week -- so that is probably having a negative effect (on weight, mood, and metabolism!)

Maybe today is just a bad day -- but I had expected to be in a better place by now......

Any natural sea salt is good, sea salt is the least processed and does not have many of the natural minerals stripped from it like regular table salt - I haven't found many sea salts with added iodine, so make sure you are looking specifically for Sea Salt, not table salt. I get the Himalayan Pink sea salt from Trader Joe's.

Always, always, always buy salt with iodine. It's a mineral our bodies need to survive and most Americans are iodine deficient.

Don't worry about it, just take your regular dose tonight.

TGIF! Why did this week feel longer with it only being a 4 day school/work week? Day 4 of my reboot, and very happy to say no carb flu this time around. I think it was because I've been eating really healthy (even with the weight gain), so not much of an issue cutting back on carbs.

Have a good Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend.
