when are you using the keto sticks? If you are drinking lots of water and use them during the day, they can be inaccurate. Best time is first thing in the morning and they say that after you have been in ketosis for awhile, you won't have as many ketones in your urin.

I seem to get higher readings of ketones after drinking a lot of water as opposed to first thing in the morning. It's a bit weird...

here's the deal about ketones and ketostix:
Our bodies get more efficient at burning the ketones and then we stop excreting them in urine. Who knows? Maybe exercise helps this process.
Anyway, toss the ketostix and stick with the plan. If you're OP, you're in ketosis!

Exercise should not knock you of of ketosis. Ketones are produced from the breakdown of fats, so if you have no carbs in your body to burn when you exercise, ketosis should be enhanced. (Carbs will be used first, then fat.)

Are your ketostix stored according to the package instruction, not outdated or lid loose? If they are valid, my thought would be that due to increased energy demand, you might now be burning more ketones for fuel that your kidneys were previously spilling into your urine. Or your body is just getting better adapted to burning ketones over time so less are going out in the urine.

Are you certain it's NO ketones? My coach told me as long as there is ANY degree of positive, doesn't matter whether it's a large or trace amount.

Got my team for the Biggest Loser contest at work pumped up. We weighed in today and pow wowed on strategy . 4 out of the 5 team members are doing IP, so we're all sharing tips and tricks to power thru. The contest ends 4/1 but between now and then our well coach will be doing fitness and nutrition seminars to keep ppl motivated. She's asked our team to present he IP program and I believe she's going to contact an actual IP coach(not my former one) to come in as well. She's pretty fired up about the program. Our team is going to win and share our success!

They are small "sticks" that you pee on. They are commonly used by diabetics. They will indicate whether you are in ketosis (fat burning mode) by the color they turn. Ketones are eliminated in the urine.

Vippysue explained above. But I have never used them. I have heard they are not very reliable and not worth rhe expense.

WI yesterday! I have been sick most of the month. My goal has been just as long as I lose weight and inches everytime I go in....then I'm okay. Veggies are tough to eat when your sick....last things you want. I have been adding spinach to my drinks in the morning. loving that !

I have lost a total of 32 lbs and 28 inches. Feeling great. I m off to Hawaii saturday! Already have my meals packed and planned!
