Milk chocolate isn't as yum as dark but I also add cinnamon. A fair amount too. Also very cold. Sea salt intensifies the flavor I think. Not a lot but a good shake or two.

Has anyone seen this - the "Hidden Menu" at Panera? Looks like very low carb options, suitable for IP? http://www.fitsugar.com/Calories-Pan...-Menu-30502695

Interesting but looks like you would have to modify most of the options in order to make it IP compliant.... IMHO.

Tomorrow is my first weigh In, I am super excited. I have already been on the scale so I am pretty pumped to see the number.

Today was the first time I did anything to the packets. I made potato pancakes and they were Devine. Devine. Its sad, how excited I get these days.

I know what you mean. I was so happy last night when i made the IP chinese fried "rice"! It was so good! I just wish my clinic would sell by the packet instead of by the box. I can't afford to try out too many different things. I am tempted to get the potato puree though. Have heard so many good recipes using it.

YES it is bad to skip a meal (especially your dinner meal, which is the highest calorie meal of the day). IP is extremely low calorie to begin with, and you need every calorie you are getting. If you are having trouble getting all your food in, try breaking things up into smaller meals over the course of the day (ie have 1 cup of veggies as a snack during the day, or use some of your dinner protein at lunchtime and have less protein at dinner), or instead of eating whole veggies use some of the veggie purees from the Fun with Veggie Purees thread - they are great to add to soups for extra flavor without a lot of volume.

Good luck manana!!! We look forward to hearing about your success! As for it being sad how excited - I actually would challenge you to think it is pretty cool. I think we are all learning how to make new choices, challenging our taste buds to steer clear of those comfort foods and make smarter decisions about what we put into our bodies for fuel. The fact that we get excited about healthier food that we enjoy is freaking awesome.

Keep up the good work!

... I am off to make some turnip fries and sauteed spinach! Yummers!

Does water yo i mix in with your packets count towards your daily water intake? I tend to drink over what I need to anyway, but keep meaning to ask about the water used in shakes, soups, etc.
That does not count towards your daily water intake.

What a find! I will be sure to see if there any Panera's along my travel route next week and report back. Yes, a little tweaking would be needed as in hold the hummus, hold the avocado, but way better than any chain restaurant options I've ever seen.
