I was told today at my WI that the potato Puree was discontinued... Is this true? I was soooo excited to get some so I could make the potato rolls..

Does anyone know where I can find some?

hmmm...my clinic still had it as of Tuesday? But maybe they are unable to order more? Not sure, can't really help you out! Is the potato puree good? I haven't tried it yet!

I have been craving bread. I found a recipe for potato rolls on the forum and I was super excited to try them out... now I am super sad..

I took a stab at imitating the potato packet because it sounded so good, and I'm not on ip. I'm following "The Simple Diet" (from the book by Anderson and Gustafson, a doctor/dietitian team). The thread I posted my experimental recipes in, is around here somewhere in the IP forums. I think it's called something like Making homemade packets.

Most Medifast and IP products and alternatives fit into "The Simple Diet" guidelines for meal replacements such as shakes, soups, bars, and entrees, so I've been scouring the meal replacement threads for ideas.

I haven't yet tried using my packet copy in the recipes, but I'll post when I do.

My coach said she hadn't heard that it was being discontinued but she set a box back for me just in case

I told my clinic to get me 3 boxes if they had any in their other office.. this was after she told me they were discontinued.

Maybe I just need to find an office that will ship me the products they won't carry..

The awesome owner of my clinic contacted customer relations who said they are not planning to discontinue the Potato Puree! Stand Down!

I saw the thread for making packet clones as well. Every time my clinic was out of something they said it was probably being "reformulated". I finally decided to just switch to alternatives. But I have never been able to find an alt for the potato puree. I am anxious to make the potato puree clone packet so I can finally try some of the great recipes I keep hearing about.

Thanks everyone for you help! Another related question to this is what happens if my clinic won't carry it? Do I just call around the state and hope that another clinic will just let me order the food? Is there a website I can order it from and have it delivered to my house?

I called the clinic in Bismarck today and 'ordered' 3 boxes of the potatoe and banana pudding and plain oatmeal (for biscuits!!) that they never seem to carry... fingers crossed they bring some up on my next weighin..
