Hubby has dropped 5 lbs too, which is great! I also make him some protein smoothies (with fruit, using the pudding/shake mixes) and he loves them and I'll get his beer belly dealt with slowly but surely.
Well I know they're eating good because I checked out your blog recipes!! I have some saved. Can't wait to try them! Thanks!

Gotta say yum! Just made vanilla shake warmed it up on the stove & added 2 shots of espresso (remember work night shift tonight) dash of cinnamon and I feel like I just stopped at my favorite coffee house.

I count the spring mix toward my veggies, though I typically prefer baby spinach. If you read the label, spring mix is arugula, spinach, greens, etc. It is listed on the IP Phase 1 protocol sheet as field greens as well.

Good luck!

Friday, yippee. Yesterday I posted I had slowed down on the scale, 10 days and not much movement. A small drop this morning which started my day with a smile. :

"LIKE"

I couldn't give up cooking. Family would leave me if I did, and it is a huge form of relaxation.

Thank you all for your input on my earlier post regarding taking a break. I guess I have until MAY 8th to make up my mind. My coach and I had planned one week each of phase 2 and 3, starting then. Some of my background.......I did not have a weight problem until I tried and tried and finally succeeded in quitting smoking in 2006. I gained 50 lbs during that time period, but really didn't care because I could not do both. This might sound crazy, but I just now began to care about the extra lbs I put on, but I have made up mind....it is going to happen. I just have to decide if it will be all at once, or in two sessions.

Thanks again!
Linda

Hi all, just wanted to add to the vacation discussion ( phasing off vs sticking to it). I am on my second vacation since starting IP. I'm currently soaking up the sun in Florida (thank goodness! It's still snowing at home) Anyway I have stayed true to phase one during both. To me it is so worth it. I brought all kinds of packets with me for variety and I don't feel deprived. I can't jeopardize my momentum on this diet. Like a lot of you I can't quite believe how well it is working. Keep fighting the good fight! take care

Crazynette: Thank you for the advice. I definitely don't want to add to the problem by becoming dependant on the smooth move.

Floonimbus: Never thought about looking at the ingredients of the spring mix. I merely looked on the protocol sheet for "spring mix". Seems like a bit of detective work is sometimes in order!

Funny kid: DS (10 going on 40) was eating a peanut butter toast and declared "hey mom, when you're in stage 4 you should have one of these!"
