Default Salad Dressing – I just don’t like Walden Farms (WF)

I’ve restarted the plan (lost 45lbs last year regained 10-15) and I just don’t like WF dressing. I’m having a hard time “enjoying” my meals. Does anybody have either recipes or other brands I should try? Thanks

I make my own .. 1.5 tsp olive oil, 1 or 2 tsp cider vinegar, garlic, italian seasoning ... it's pretty tasty.

Below is one of my favorites:
Thai Dressing-(Phases 1-4)

1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely sliced
3 Tablespoons rice vinegar
1 teaspoon Splenda or Stevia
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon red pepper, crushed

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

There are many more recipes at the following link:

I don't care for WF dressings either, so I just don't eat salads. They are not required as part of the protocol, and if they are preventing you from "enjoying" your meal, then just don't eat them.

I'd still try o get some lettuce in. I know I'm sick of it, but yesterday I found a recipe for a sandwich wrap made with the potato packet and it was awesome! I stuffed it with chicken, onion, lettuce and a dressing..... PERFECT! I'll definitely be dreaming up some other fillings!

I (finally) found a dressing that DH and I enjoy.

2 T. Water
2 T. EVOO
2 T. Dijon Mustard
1 Garlic Clove (minced) - I use garlic powder.
1-2 Stevia packets
Salt and Pepper (I like a lot) to taste.

I use Good Seasons Italian dressing mix. I make it with water and vinegar, rather than oil (add that as needed to my salad rather than mixing it in my dressing), and if you buy the bottle, the package has a huge list of other ingredients to add to make different types of flavors.

My fav is Greek, by adding garlic, lemon juice and oregano to the Italian seasonings.

If you like mustard, particularly honey mustard, I have a good suggestion for you. I use yellow (I've read of others using dijon) mustard, a little bit of water and add the WF maple syrup. It makes a honey mustard as good as any that I've ever had! You may have read this, but I find that the WF stuff is a good base to mix things in to. With that being said, don't toss any WF you have; tastes change as you progress.

I'm really tired of apple cider vinegar so my new go to dressing is olive oil, lemon juice, a squeeze of basil in the tube and a pack of stevia. It's fresh n crisp.

I had one bottle of WF left in the pantry I hadn't opened. I'm into month 4 and my tastes have changed about a whole lot of things. It still tasted like crap to me. Just sayin...

Though I think I'm going to try your honey mustard with the syrup, which is the only WF I do like. I usually use Splenda to make my honey mustard dressing.
