Default Working out question

I am off the program for now due to finances. I have lost about 45 but gained about 6 back. I want to start doing insanity, has anyone here done it? I have a fat in my abdomen area...would it help me get a flat stomach in your opinion?

I've not done Insanity, but I've heard it is quite a workout! However, I have been working out 2x/week with a personal trainer who likes to make me to horrible ab things (planks and sit ups and all sorts of things). I think my stomach muscles are firming up, but only in the last 10 lbs has my stomach lost some of its bulge. For me, it is all fat. And the muscle under the fat, I'm sure, is really toned, but until I worked off the fat, I still had a belly.

Working out will strengthen and tone the muscles in your abs, but won't get rid of the fat - only a diet can do that.

Oops. I shouldn't have said "worked off the fat"...I meant burned off the fat (through a combo of diet and exercise).
