So here I am.... A week late and hair falling out! Isn't this fun?
Also at a bit of a plateau. Maybe time to get on the treadmill... Which I affectionately call the DREADMILL because that is how much I like it!
Treadmill won't help get things moving, but if it makes you feel better just make sure you add an extra packet afterward to fuel your body in recovery.
I had some hair loss, taking biotin seems to have helped - and now that I'm a couple of months into maintenance I've seen a few little baby hairs growing back, so there's hope for our follicles yet!
Thanks scorbett! Reassurance helps. I am only 15 lbs away from where I want to be before phasing off so I will grit my teeth and bare it. Went out and brushed my horses. Makes me feel better they are shedding too. Lol. I have been taking biotin and omegas and it is still falling out. I guess I will at least be a slim bald girl! . Thinking maybe the treadmill can keep that weight coming off and get me to maintenance sooner.
For hair loss, try adding a supplement, called Biotin. I haven't noticed any hair loss, but I am taking it as a preventative while doing the IP program.
As for the cycle, I've heard that many people with infertility issues have used this diet to lose weight and (ultimately) regulate their cycle. I've heard reference to "Ideal Babies," due to the diet. I, too, have PCOS and a crazy cycle, so I'm with you, SFNinerGirl, when it happens, it'll happen.

I have been taking Biotin right from the start. Sigh. Oh we'll, guess it is what it is!
I have suffered from infertility as well. No reason why I couldn't conceive according to two different specialists. I had my surprise miracle boy 8 years ago and have been unable to conceive again since. I wil be 41 in May... Getting a little up there to have another child, don't ya think. Mind ya, Halle Berry is 45! Lol
So this explains what is going on with my cycle, 2 weeks early and lasting much longer. I hope it stops soon. I have about 4 more weeks on phase 1 and I can't have my period for that long!
I'm also feeling less energetic, wonder if that has to do with extended period? Would it be OK to have an extra boiled egg to help me through the day? I'll ask my coach on Monday, but wondered if anyone has advice.
Thanks.

Absolutely. A boiled egg is a great choice to give you a boost when you need it! You can also have a 2-egg white omelet for even lower calories and still a good punch of protein.

Thanks. I'll do this when I'm not feeling very energetic and hopefully it'll be over soon. Not fun to have period earlier and longer than normal!
I am now beginning Week 7 of IP. Beginning in Week 2 and lasting through Week 5, there was non-stop bleeding and clots. I was really starting to worry about myself when it finally stopped. It's currently my TOM and it isn't different from normal, so maybe the body just takes time to adjust to the change in hormones.
That's the diet. Women store estrogen in our fat cells, and when we release a lot of fat the estrogen rushes our systems and messes with our cycles. Some people find they have spotting for weeks, or more frequent periods. I actually SKIPPED my first cycle after starting IP and then had two in one month the next month. It gets better as your body adjusts and your weight loss stabilizes a bit.
Good to know, I am on almost 10 days late. I know I couldnt be pg but took a test just to double check. I keep feeling bloated and cramping but it never comes... Going crazy waiting for it so I dont feel so bloated.

I too have PCOS! We tried infertility treatments for almost 9 years and then I had lost 70 pounds using Phentermine... 2 months later out of no where God gave me a beautiful gift. But phentermine is horrible for you and I gained all my weight back. I tried to get back on Phentermine to have a second child but I started getting "charlie horses" all over it was horrible, but then I found IP! I love this life changing diet. I am losing weight to get healthy and to grow my family, when I tell people I am losing weight to have another child I always get the same response... "Why if your just going to gain it back" but they dont understand. This pg will be different! I am determined to stay healthy because I have a 2 year old to run after!
Positively miserable here. My first month it lasted for 14 days. Just starting on the second month, and its brutal, but hoping it won't be as long. Can those of you who have been on IP for a while tell me if it is always that long? When did it get better for you? I know everyone is different, but just trying to have some hope/reassurance.
I am on the Mirena UID and my period had been happening once every 6 months or so, but now, it's every other week. I'm growing hair where I don't want to and losing the hair on my head
I happened to see my gyno and she says it is most likely the diet, but she had me go for an ultasound and I have a big ovarian cyst (just a normal cyst, no big deal), but we will watch that, and she ran some blood tests to see if she could treat the hormonal symptoms. I should know something about that next week.
